Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Hook a heavy trailer to a one-ton and every frost heave, expansion joint, and hard stop drives straight up through the truck. The trailer chucks back and forth, the driveline takes the beating, and your cargo gets rattled the whole trip. The Shocker HD Air Hitch & Channel Style Pintle Hook drops an upgraded HD-rated air spring between the truck and the load, so those jolts get soaked up before they reach you. It is the heaviest-duty hitch in Shocker's bumper-pull lineup, carrying 20,000 lbs of trailer (GTW) and up to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight on a beefier-wall version of Shocker's proven red 8-hole chassis. Sized for F-350, RAM 3500, and dual-rear-wheel one-ton trucks (class V/VI receivers) with a 3-inch receiver, it is built for pulling the heaviest legal bumper-pull loads you can put behind a one-ton.

How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
20K Air Spring
A heavy-duty multi-ply rubber air bag with a heavier ply count than the 14K version carries up to 20,000 lbs of trailer while still soaking up the road shock that would otherwise beat on the truck and cargo.
Air It Up or Bleed It Down
A heavy trailer can swing 1,000+ lbs between empty and loaded. Air it up for the max-weight run, bleed it down for the deadhead home. The HD air bag has a wider usable pressure range than the 14K, so you cover both ends.
Reinforced 8-Hole Chassis
Same outer shape as the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still bolts on, but with thicker-wall steel and reinforced welds rated for the 20K loads.
Single-Pivot Rocker Arm
Shocker's down-and-back motion runs on one pivot, with no slides, rollers, or stacked airbags, even at HD loads. Fewer moving parts under heavy stress means a hitch that lasts longer.
Who Buys the HD 20K
For one-ton trucks and the heaviest legal bumper-pull loads on the road.
- F-350, RAM 3500, and Silverado 3500 owners towing near their max ratings
- Livestock haulers pulling 30+ ft bumper-pull stock trailers
- Equipment and skid-steer haulers running 16k+ tilt-deck trailers
- Big enclosed cargo trailers and car haulers up to 20,000 lbs
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks with a 3-inch receiver that need a matched HD hitch
- Anyone whose Original 14K is bottoming out under heavy tongue weight
HD vs. Original: What's Different
Same chassis shape and the same attachment lineup, with three upgrades that actually matter:
Heavier Airbag
A multi-ply rubber bag rated for the full 20,000 lbs GTW with a wider usable pressure range, so it carries heavier tongue weight without bottoming out.
Beefier Walls and Welds
Thicker steel and a reinforced weld pattern at the high-stress points, rated for 2,000 lbs of tongue weight against 1,400 lbs on the Original 14K.
Flip It for Drop or Rise
This Shocker HD Air Hitch & Channel Style Pintle Hook ships in a 3″ Drop to 7″ Drop ball-mount setup. Most Shocker ball mounts flip over, so you can turn drop into rise, and the 8 adjustment holes let you fine-tune coupler height. A heavy trailer is picky about sitting level. Get the drop wrong and you overload either the front or rear axle of the trailer, so take the time to dial it in right.
Built for Maximum Bumper-Pull Loads
Reinforced heavy-wall steel under Shocker's signature impact-resistant safety-red powder coat, in stock and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait. The HD air bag swaps out in the field in minutes using the same simple Schrader-style valve as the 14K, so a fix on the road is quick. Backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
