Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
When you are hauling near 20,000 lbs, every frost heave and hard stop slams straight through a rigid hitch into your truck's frame, your trailer welds, and whatever you have loaded. The Shocker HD Air Hitch & Channel Style Pintle Hook puts an air spring between your truck and that load so the jarring gets soaked up instead of passed along. It is the heavy-duty 20K red-finish flagship of the Shocker bumper-pull lineup, rated for 20,000 lbs GTW and up to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight. Built on a beefier-wall version of Shocker's signature 8-hole chassis with an upgraded HD-rated airbag, it fits F-150-class half-ton trucks (and class III/IV receivers) with a 2-inch receiver and is made for one-ton trucks pulling the heaviest legal bumper-pull loads.

How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
Soaks Up the Hit at 20,000 lbs
The HD air bag uses multi-ply rubber with a heavier ply count than the 14K version, so it carries up to 20,000 lbs of trailer load and still cushions the road shock that would otherwise beat on your truck and cargo.
Dial It In for Full or Empty
A heavy bumper-pull load can swing 1,000+ lbs between empty and full, and a fixed hitch rides rough at one end of that range. Add air for the max-weight run, bleed it off on the deadhead home. The HD airbag has a wider usable pressure range than the 14K, so you have room to match the load.
Same Fit, More Steel
It keeps the exact outside geometry of the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still fits, but the walls are thicker steel and the welds are reinforced to carry the 20K loadings.
One Simple Pivot
Shocker's down-and-back motion runs on a single pivot, with no slides, no rollers, and no stacked airbags, even at HD loadings. Fewer moving parts under that kind of stress means it lasts longer.
Who the HD 20K Is Built For
For one-ton trucks and the heaviest legal bumper-pull combinations you can hook behind a truck.
- One-ton owners (F-350, RAM 3500, Silverado 3500) towing near their max trailer rating
- Livestock haulers pulling 30+ ft gooseneck-equivalent bumper-pull stock trailers
- Equipment and skid-steer guys running 16k+ tilt-deck trailers
- Big enclosed cargo trailers and car haulers up to 20,000 lbs
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks with a 3-inch receiver that need a matched HD hitch
- Anyone whose Original 14K is bottoming out under heavy tongue weight
HD vs. Original: What Actually Changes
Same chassis silhouette, same attachment ecosystem, three real upgrades where it counts:
A Tougher Airbag
The multi-ply rubber bag is rated for the full 20K GTW and has a wider usable pressure range, so it carries heavier tongue weight without bottoming out.
Beefier Walls and Welds
Thicker steel and a reinforced weld pattern at the high-stress points bump the tongue-weight rating to 2,000 lbs, up from 1,400 lbs on the Original 14K.
Flip It From Drop to Rise
This Shocker HD Air Hitch & Channel Style Pintle Hook ships with a 3″ Drop to 7″ Drop ball-mount configuration. Most Shocker ball mounts are reversible, so you can flip the mount to turn drop into rise, or use the 8 adjustment holes to fine-tune coupler height. A heavy bumper-pull trailer is fussy about sitting level. Ride it nose-high or nose-low and you overload either the front or rear axle of the trailer, so take the time to dial it in.
Built to Take the Heaviest Loads
It is reinforced heavy-wall steel under Shocker's impact-resistant safety-red powder coat, in stock and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait. When the HD-rated air bag eventually wears, you can swap it in minutes using the same simple Schrader-style fitting the 14K uses. Backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
