Does it require welding to install?

No welding required. The Surge Air gooseneck installs as a slide-out swap — pull your existing tube/stem out of the trailer's gooseneck socket and slide the new Shocker Air Hitch in its place. Most owners do it themselves with basic hand tools.

Yes. The Gooseneck Surge Air coupler is designed to drop onto a standard 2-5/16" gooseneck ball mounted in the truck bed. No changes needed on the truck side.

Can I move it between trailers?

No — once welded onto a trailer it stays there. The benefit is that it works with any tow vehicle you hook up to that trailer, which is ideal for fleet operators and hotshotters.
