Sway Tab Design
The raised ball mount includes welded sway control tabs for attaching sway control arm bars and mini balls, such as the Shocker 1001 Friction Bar Sway Control Kit (sold separately). It is recommended to use one kit for towing under 10,000 lbs. and two kits for towing over that weight, making it ideal for campers experiencing sway issues.

The Shocker Max Black Air Ride Receiver Hitch features a sway control raised ball mount with 8 adjustment holes, allowing for a rise of up to 2 inches or a drop of 2 inches. This raised hitch option is specifically designed for towing campers or other trailers with higher trailer tongues or for use with 2wd or trucks that are lower than the trailer tongue.

This air hitch filters the bumps, bangs, jerks & tugs normally experienced with a hard connection through the build in air ride system creating a safer, smoother ride. Plus its easier on you and whatever you are towing.
The sway bar tab design of this raised ball mount offer additional sway control protection when added with friction sway arm bars such as the Shocker SH-1001 sway bar kit, which is sold separately. To minimize unwanted sway, it includes welded sway bar tabs compatible with the Shocker 1001 friction sway control kit or similar systems.

Manufactured by Shocker Hitch® USA in Jamestown, ND, the 14k air ride system sits beneath the receiver tube, providing a compact 10-inch distance between the mounting pin and ball center. One of the key advantages of the Air Shocker is the adjustable air pressure, which allows for optimal ride quality and load control.
