Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Pull a loaded equipment trailer behind a 1-ton on rough highway and you feel every hit. Frost heaves and hard stops slam straight up through a solid mount, jarring the truck, the trailer, and whatever you have chained to the deck. The Impact Max Cushion Hitch takes that beating for you. Two sealed rubber bump cushions soak up the shock and rebound before it reaches the cab, so a heavy tow rides smoother and stops steadier. It carries 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lb of tongue weight (enough for skid steers, dump trailers, and loaded equipment haulers), drops into 2-1/2-inch receivers, and adjusts from 0" to 7-1/2" of drop so you tow level. It comes with a 2-inch ball, sway bar tabs, and a matte black powder coat finish, with zero air pressure to check and nothing to maintain. Hook up and go.

Why a 20K Cushion Hitch
Enough Muscle for a 1-Ton
The 14K Impact Cushion handles half-tons and plenty of three-quarter-tons just fine. But the day you start pulling skid steers, dump trailers, and heavy equipment haulers behind a 1-ton, you need this 20K chassis. Same cushion technology, with heavier steel underneath it.
Dual Rubber Bump Cushions
Two sealed rubber cushions take the jolt through compression and rebound instead of passing it straight to your truck. The ball mount pivots on them, and that little bit of give is what makes a cushion hitch ride smoother than a solid mount, even loaded to full GTW.
Matte Black Stealth Finish
The textured matte black powder coat hides road grime, resists chipping off the highway, and looks right behind a modern blacked-out truck. It is the same finish family as the HD Max Black air-ride line.
No Compressor Required
Air-ride hitches at this capacity need a compressor and a pressure gauge you have to mind. The Impact Max 20K is sealed and needs neither, which matters on a remote job site or ranch where dragging out a compressor before every tow just is not realistic.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
Twenty thousand pounds is serious weight, and this hitch is built for the trucks and loads that actually pull it, without any air-ride routine to keep up with.
- 1-ton pickups like the F-350, RAM 3500, and GMC 3500HD
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks towing at full GTW
- Skid steer trailers, dump trailers, and equipment haulers
- Contractor and ranch trailers running at or near 20,000 lbs
- Fleet trucks where simple and tough beats tunable
- Owners who outgrew the Impact Cushion 14K and need more capacity
Impact Max 20K vs HD Max Black 20K
Same 20K chassis, same matte black finish. The only real question is how you want the ride handled, rubber cushions or a tunable airbag.
Impact Max 20K (this product)
Sealed rubber cushions that never need air or maintenance. Runs roughly 30 to 40% cheaper than the air-ride sibling, with no compressor or pressure gauge to bother with. This is the one to grab if you want a clear ride upgrade over a solid mount and would rather keep things simple and tough.
HD Max Black 20K (air-ride sibling)
An adjustable airbag you tune to the load, with more travel and a softer ride at any tongue weight. It needs an inflator, and the airbag can be swapped in the field but does wear over the years. Reach for this one if you tow heavy every day and want to fine-tune the ride.
Built for the Job Site
On a working ranch, a remote job site, or a busy fleet yard, you do not always have a minute to check airbag pressure before you roll out. The Impact Max 20K takes that step off your list. Hook up, pull, unhook, and do it again for years with no maintenance routine to remember. If you want Shocker capacity and ride quality but want to treat the hitch like any other tool in the yard, this is the line for you.
Same Attachments as the HD Max Black
The Impact Max 20K takes the same ball mount attachments as the HD Max Black, so combo balls, pintle hooks, clevises, drawbars, raised mounts, and drop mounts all swap right on. If you run more than one truck across the Shocker lineup, your attachments carry across the whole 20K family. The textured matte black powder coat stands up to UV, road salt, and rock chips, and every hitch ships from our Canadian stock, so there is no border wait.
