Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Towing a gooseneck, the hits you feel most are the forward-back jerk between your truck bed and the trailer, the kind that chucks your load and works on the frame every time you catch a frost heave or grab the brakes. And before you even roll out, there's that nagging question of whether the coupler really caught the ball. This hitch answers both. The patented Shocker air-ride chassis soaks up that forward-back surge, and the proprietary Shift Lock coupler grabs the 2-5/16-inch ball from both sides at once, the only gooseneck coupler that does, so one glance tells you it's locked. It carries 30,000 lbs of trailer with 7,000 lbs on the tongue (1,000 lb more than the Demco version), and the multi-fit-square drops into your factory outer tube in minutes.

Why Shift Lock Over a Standard Coupler
The Shift Lock is Shocker's own coupler, different from the Demco EZ Latch used on the Standard 30K line.
Grabs the Ball From Both Sides
Most couplers latch from one side. The Shift Lock clamps the 2-5/16-inch ball from both sides at the same time, and it's the only gooseneck coupler on the market built that way. More metal on the ball means less play to think about.
You Can See It's Locked
The latch position tells you at a glance whether you're on the ball. No crouching in the dirt, no flashlight, no second-guessing before you pull out of the yard.
More Room on the Tongue
Rated for 7,000 lbs on the tongue against 6,000 lbs for the Demco version on the same chassis. That extra 1,000 lb is real margin when a gooseneck rides heavy up front.
One-Lever Hookup
A single lever handle locks and releases it. No fighting a stuck mechanism in a parking lot after a long haul.
Forward-Back Surge Air Ride
Airbag Aimed at the Right Shock
The patented air spring sits behind the inner stem and soaks up the forward-back jerk between truck bed and trailer, the shock that hits hardest in gooseneck towing.
Simple Rocker, Less to Break
It rides on a plain rocker arm with no parallel linkages, no shocks, no torsion arms. Less to maintain and less to fail, so it holds up under heavy use.
Tune the Air to the Load
Add air when you're loaded heavy, let some out when the trailer's empty. The same hitch handles a full equipment haul and the deadhead run home.
No Welding, No Cutting
The multi-fit-square slides into your existing outer tube right where the factory inner stem sits now. No welding, no cutting, nothing done to your truck bed.
Choose This If You Run Shift Lock
Best for operators already running Shift Lock couplers across their fleet, or anyone who specifically wants the dual-side capture and the visible lock indicator.
- You already run Shift Lock couplers on your other trailers
- Your gooseneck rides heavy up front and you want the 7,000 lb tongue rating
- You're hotshotting and want lock confirmation at a glance
- You pre-trip every hookup and want to see the lock state
- You'd rather have both-side ball capture than a single-side latch
- You run a long-bed pickup pulling 25K to 30K goosenecks
Shift Lock vs. Demco, Same Chassis
Both lines run the identical air-ride chassis, the same stem options, and the same 30,000 lbs rating. The coupler is the only difference.
Shift Lock (this line)
Grabs the ball from both sides, shows you the lock at a glance, and carries 7,000 lbs on the tongue. Shocker's own coupler. Patent #'s 11,370,257 B1 and D898,628.
Demco EZ Latch (Standard 30K)
Auto-latches from one side, releases with a latch handle, and carries 6,000 lbs on the tongue. The industry-standard Demco design. See surge-air-gooseneck-standard-30k.
Short-Bed Pickup?
This line comes with the standard 3" forward extension, which is fine for long-bed trucks. If you run a short bed and the trailer nose crowds your cab on tight turns, you'll want more clearance. Shift Lock versions of the 9" offset live in the surge-air-gooseneck-offset-30k line, so choose that line and pick the Shift Lock coupler option there.
