Built-In Air Spring
A heavy-duty air bag sits under the receiver tube and soaks up the jerk and tug of towing before it ever reaches your truck or your trailer. Nothing bolts solid to solid, so the hits do not transfer straight through.
Adjustable for Any Load

Sway Control: Two Configurations
The Max Black ships with or without sway-control tabs depending on the ball-mount attachment you choose:
Standard Ball Mount (No Sway Tabs)
Right for boats, livestock trailers, equipment haulers, and anything that does not need friction sway bars. The pivoting air-ride design already trims out a lot of sway on its own.
Ball Mount With Welded Sway Tabs
Adds welded tabs for a friction sway-bar kit (sold separately). Worth it for travel trailers and tall campers that get shoved around by crosswinds and passing semis.
Flippable Drop / Rise Geometry
A trailer that rides nose-up or nose-down wears its tires hard and tows worse for it. This Shocker Max Black Air Hitch & Cushion Drawbar Mount ships in a 1/2" to 4-1/2" Drop configuration, and most Shocker ball mounts flip over to turn that drop into rise. Between the flip and the 8 adjustment holes, you can set coupler height to sit the trailer level whether it is a low travel trailer behind a lifted truck or a tall camper behind a stock pickup.
