Sway Control: Two Configurations
The Max Black comes with or without welded sway tabs, depending on the ball-mount attachment you pick:
Standard Ball Mount (No Sway Tabs)
Best for boats, livestock trailers, equipment haulers, and anything that does not need friction sway bars. The pivoting air-ride design already cuts down on sway tendency on its own.
Ball Mount With Welded Sway Tabs
Adds welded tabs so you can bolt on a friction sway-bar kit (sold separately). This is the one to get for travel trailers and tall campers that catch crosswinds and start to wander.
Flip It From Drop to Rise
This Shocker Max Black Air Hitch & Clevis Mount comes set up with a 3-1/2" to 7-1/2" Drop ball mount.
