Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Tow a jet ski, a pop-up camper, or a small utility trailer behind a car, minivan, or SUV and you feel every frost heave and hard stop jolt back through the hitch. The trailer chucks and the ride turns harsh. The Mini Shocker Cushion 3.5K takes that punch out of the road: a heavy-duty rubber cushion at the mount soaks up the shock. It is the smallest, lightest hitch we build, rated up to 3,500 lbs GTW, and it flips to a 2,000 lb setting for a different height. It runs a 1-7/8 inch or 2 inch ball, the sizes tiny trailers actually use, so it fits small rigs the rest of our bumper-pull line is too big for.
Key Highlights
- Hauls up to 3,500 lbs GTW, then flips to a 2,000 lb setting when you want a different ride height
- A rubber cushion soaks up road shock with no pump, gauge, or air to check
- Built for the cars, vans, minivans, SUVs, and CUVs that most tow hitches skip
- Takes the 1-7/8 inch or 2 inch balls small trailers use (not the larger 2-5/16 inch)
- 6 hole positions to get small trailers riding level
- Compact mount slides into any 2-inch receiver, even tucked under a car bumper
- Black powder-coat finish that shrugs off weather and road grime
- The lightest and lowest-cost hitch in the Shocker bumper-pull family

A Different Class of Hitch
A Rubber Cushion Does the Work
This one skips the air bag. A heavy-duty rubber cushion absorbs the road shock instead, so there is no pump to run, no pressure gauge to watch, and no valve to check. You bolt it on and tow. It does its best work at the loads it is rated to carry.
Flip It for Two Ratings
Bolt it in one way and you get the full 3,500 lbs GTW. Flip it the other way and it sets up at 2,000 lbs with a different drop and rise. That is two hitches in one, so you can match how your trailer sits without buying a second mount.
Runs the Small-Trailer Ball Sizes
Our 8K and bigger hitches take a 2-5/16 inch ball. The Mini Shocker uses the smaller 1-7/8 inch or 2 inch ball, the standard sizes on tiny trailers, jet skis, and pop-up campers. Match it to your trailer coupler and you are set.
Built for Cars, Vans, and CUVs
Most tow hitches assume you are driving a pickup. This one is built for the cars, minivans, and CUVs the rest of our bumper-pull family is too big for. If your tow vehicle is not a truck, this is your Shocker.
Perfect For These Small Trailers
Tow any of these with a car, van, minivan, or SUV and the Mini Shocker is your match:
- Jet ski and personal watercraft trailers, usually 1,500 to 2,500 lbs
- Single snowmobile trailers
- Lawn mower and small equipment trailers
- Pop-up tent campers under 3,500 lbs
- Small utility trailers and loaded bike racks
- Small fishing boat trailers under 3,500 lbs
- Kayak and canoe trailers
Mini Shocker or Sport 8K: Which One Fits?
The Mini Shocker is intentionally a different class of product. Compare carefully:
Mini Shocker Cushion 3.5K
3,500 lbs GTW on a rubber cushion, running a 1-7/8" or 2" ball. Built for cars, minivans, CUVs, and SUVs. It is the lightest and cheapest way into a Shocker, and it rides on a cushion rather than air.
Shocker Sport 8K
8,000 lbs GTW on air ride, running the 2-5/16" ball. Built for half-ton pickups, vans, and full-size SUVs. Step up to this one if your trailer sits between 3,500 and 8,000 lbs or you tow with a pickup.
Original Shocker 14K
14,000 lbs GTW on air ride. The go-to pick for any half-ton or three-quarter-ton truck, and far more hitch than a tiny trailer needs.
How the Flip Works
The mount is symmetrical front to back. Set it in one way and the rubber cushion is loaded for the full 3,500 lb rating at one drop or rise. Turn it 180 degrees and the cushion loads up for 2,000 lbs at the opposite height. Pick the side that best matches how your trailer sits and how much you are pulling. There are no extra parts to buy either way.
Compact, Black, and Low-Maintenance
The mount is black-powder-coated steel with a single heavy-duty rubber cushion at the pivot. There is no air bag and no air valve, and nothing to maintain beyond the once-over you would give any hitch. It is covered by Shocker Hitch's frame warranty and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee, and it is in stock and ships direct from Canada, so there is no border wait.
