Built-in HD Air Ride System
Absorbs road shock and creates a smooth ride & reduces trailer sway. Dual rubber bump cushions offer additional HD performance.
12 Adjustment Holes
Up to 12-1/2" of drop & 2-1/2" of rise depending on mount selected. Crush drawbar offers 0" to 8-1/2" of drop.
Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop is built for one job: bridging the gap when your truck sits high and your trailer tongue sits low. The 12-hole Super Drop frame delivers up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, paired with the same 20K air ride suspension that defines the HD Max Black line. This Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop Air Hitch & Cushion Drawbar Mount is rated at 20,000 lbs GTW, fits 3-inch receivers, and offers 1/2" to 8-1/2" Drop for dialing in level tow on lifted rigs and low-deck trailers.

Why the Super Drop Frame
12-Hole Drop Range
Four extra adjustment holes versus the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. That extra real estate is what unlocks 10–12 inches of drop for lifted trucks.
Air Ride at Any Drop Setting
Most extreme-drop hitches are solid steel — a hard, jarring ride. The Super Drop keeps the airbag active across the entire drop range so you never trade comfort for clearance.
Reversible for Rise
Flip the frame and you have up to 2 inches of rise. Useful for cab-over campers or higher trailer tongues on a stock-height truck.
Fits the HD Max Black Ecosystem
Uses every HD Max Black ball mount attachment — combo balls, pintles, clevises, drawbars. Buy the frame once, swap attachments as your trailers change.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
If your factory hitch hangs your trailer nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop range. This frame solves it.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups (3–6 inch lifts)
- Trailers with low front tongues that drag on stock-height trucks
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks with factory-tall ride heights
- Any rig where the standard 6–7 inch drop is not enough to level the trailer
- F-350 / RAM 3500 / dual-rear-wheel one-ton trucks (class V/VI receivers) running aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both share the same 20K air ride chassis. Choose based on how much drop your setup actually needs.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Up to roughly 7 inches of drop. The right choice for stock-height trucks pulling typical bumper-pull trailers. Costs less and is the default in the HD Max Black configurator.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Choose this when the standard frame cannot get the trailer level — lifted trucks, low-tongue trailers, or unusual height mismatches. Adds $50–80 over the standard frame.
Why Level Tow Matters More Than Most Buyers Realize
A trailer that tows nose-high transfers weight off the trailer's front axle, which causes sway. A trailer that tows nose-low overloads the front axle and dives under braking. Either way, tire wear, ride quality, and braking distance all suffer. Getting the trailer level is the single biggest tow safety upgrade most lifted-truck owners can make — and the Super Drop frame is the tool that makes it possible without giving up air ride.
Built and Finished for the Long Haul
Heavy-duty steel chassis with a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, resists rock chips, and shrugs off UV exposure better than gloss finishes. The same multi-ply commercial air bag used across the Shocker HD line. Backed by the lifetime frame warranty and Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Made in Jamestown, ND.
