Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Your truck sits high and your trailer tongue sits low, so the trailer rides nose-up the whole way down the road. That mismatch chucks the load around, chews up your tires, and makes every hard stop feel a little sketchy. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop fixes it. Its 12-hole frame drops up to 12-1/2 inches to bring a low tongue level with a lifted truck, and it does that while keeping the same 20K air ride cushion that runs through the whole HD Max Black line, so you get the clearance and a smooth pull instead of one or the other. Rated at 20,000 lbs GTW, fits a 3-inch receiver, and gives you 1/2" to 8-1/2" of drop to dial in a dead-level tow on lifted rigs and low-deck trailers.

Why the Super Drop Frame
More Holes, More Drop
You get four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what let you reach 10 to 12 inches of drop, enough to bring a lifted truck down level with a low trailer tongue.
Air Ride at Every Drop Setting
Most deep-drop hitches are solid steel, so every frost heave and expansion joint slams straight through your truck and trailer. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the entire drop range, so you get the clearance you need without beating up your rig or your back.
Reversible for Rise
Need to go the other way. Flip the frame over and you get up to 2 inches of rise, handy for a cab-over camper or a taller trailer tongue behind a stock-height truck.
One Frame, Every Attachment
It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment (combo balls, pintles, clevises, drawbars). Buy the frame once and just swap the attachment as your trailers change, instead of buying a whole new hitch.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
If your factory hitch leaves the trailer sitting nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop range than it can give you. This frame is how you get it.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups running 3 to 6 inch lifts
- Trailers with low front tongues that already sit nose-down behind stock-height trucks
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks that sit tall right from the factory
- Any rig where a standard 6 to 7 inch drop still won't get the trailer level
- F-350 / RAM 3500 / dual-rear-wheel one-ton trucks (class V/VI receivers) running aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both run the exact same 20K air ride chassis. The only question is how much drop your truck and trailer actually need.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Gives you up to roughly 7 inches of drop. That's the right call for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer, it costs less, and it's the standard pick for most HD Max Black buyers.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Reach for this when the standard frame just can't get the trailer level, meaning lifted trucks, low-tongue trailers, or an oddball height mismatch. It runs $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.
Why Level Tow Matters More Than Most Buyers Realize
If you're new to towing, here's why level matters so much. A trailer that rides nose-high pulls weight off its own front axle, and that's what gets a trailer swaying behind you. A trailer that rides nose-low dumps too much weight onto the front axle and dives every time you hit the brakes. Either way you're looking at faster tire wear, a rougher ride, and longer stopping distances. Getting the trailer sitting flat is the single biggest tow safety upgrade most lifted-truck owners can make, and the Super Drop frame is what makes it possible without giving up your air ride.
Built and Finished for the Long Haul
This hitch lives outside in the weather and the road spray, so it's built for it. Heavy-duty steel chassis under a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, takes rock chips without showing them, and holds up to sun far better than a gloss finish. Inside is the same multi-ply commercial air bag that runs across the whole Shocker HD line. Backed by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, in stock and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait.
