Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
You lift the truck and suddenly every trailer rides nose-high. The tongue sits low, the truck sits tall, and that angle is what sets a trailer swaying on the highway, chattering over frost heaves, and chewing through tires on a long haul. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop reaches the height a standard hitch can't. Its 12-hole Super Drop frame gives up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, so you finally pull level even on a jacked-up rig, and it does it while keeping the same 20K air ride airbag that defines the HD Max Black line, so the ride stays soft instead of pounding. Rated at 20,000 lbs GTW, it fits 3-inch receivers and adjusts from 3-1/2" to 11-1/2" of drop to level a tow on lifted trucks and low-deck trailers.

Why the Super Drop Frame
12-Hole Drop Range
Four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what let you dial in 10 to 12 inches of drop, enough to bring a lifted truck's hitch down to meet your trailer's tongue.
Air Ride at Every Drop Setting
Most deep-drop hitches are solid steel, so they pound every bump straight into the truck and the cargo. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the full drop range, so you get the clearance you need and a smooth ride at the same time.
Reversible for Rise
Flip the frame over and you get up to 2 inches of rise instead of drop. That covers cab-over campers and taller trailer tongues when you're back on a stock-height truck.
Fits the HD Max Black Ecosystem
Takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment (combo balls, pintles, clevises, drawbars). Buy the frame once and swap attachments as your trailers change, instead of buying a whole new hitch each time.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
If your factory hitch leaves the trailer tipped nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop range than it has. This frame gives you that range.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups (3 to 6 inch lifts)
- Trailers with low front tongues that ride nose-high behind a tall truck
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dually trucks that already sit tall from the factory
- Any rig where the standard 6 to 7 inch drop still leaves the trailer off-level
- F-350, RAM 3500, and one-ton dually trucks (class V/VI receivers) running aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both run the same 20K air ride chassis. The only question is how much drop your truck-and-trailer combo actually needs.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Up to roughly 7 inches of drop, and the right call for a stock-height truck pulling typical bumper-pull trailers. It costs less and covers most setups, so start here unless you know you need more.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Step up to this when the standard frame can't get the trailer level, whether that's a lifted truck, a low-tongue trailer, or an odd height gap between the two. It adds about $50 to $80 over the standard frame.
Why Level Tow Matters More Than Most Buyers Realize
New to towing? Here's why this matters. A trailer that rides nose-high pulls weight off its own front axle, and that's what starts it swinging side to side at highway speed. A trailer that rides nose-low leans hard on that front axle and dives every time you hit the brakes. Either way you burn through tires faster, the ride gets rougher, and your stopping distance grows. Getting the trailer level is the single biggest safety upgrade most lifted-truck owners can make, and the Super Drop frame is what makes it possible without giving up air ride.
Built and Finished for the Long Haul
Under it all is a heavy-duty steel chassis, wrapped in a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, resists rock chips, and holds up to UV better than a gloss finish. Inside is the same multi-ply commercial air bag used across the Shocker HD line. It's backed by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, in stock and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait.
