Its 12-hole Super Drop frame gives up to 12-1/2 inches of drop (3-1/2" to 11-1/2") to level a lifted rig over a low-deck trailer, and it does it on the same 20,000-lb air ride suspension as the rest of the HD Max Black line, so the airbag soaks up frost heaves and hard stops instead of passing them straight through. Rated at 20,000 lbs GTW and built for 2-1/2-inch receivers, it hauls just about any bumper-pull trailer you will hang off a heavy truck and keeps it riding flat.

What Makes the Super Drop Frame Different
Four Extra Holes to Get You Level
You get four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what open up 10 to 12 inches of drop, enough to bring a lifted truck back down to a low trailer tongue.
Air Ride at Every Drop Setting
Most extreme-drop hitches are solid steel, which means a hard, jarring ride. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the entire drop range, so you get the clearance you need and still ride smooth.
Flip It Over for Rise

Super Drop or Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both run the same 20K air ride chassis. The only question is how much drop your truck and trailer combo actually needs.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Gives you up to roughly 7 inches of drop. That is plenty for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer, and it costs less. It is the standard pick in the HD Max Black lineup.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Go with this one when the standard frame just can't get your trailer level, like on a lifted truck, a low-tongue trailer, or an odd height mismatch. It runs about $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.
Why a Level Trailer Matters More Than You'd Think
Tow a trailer nose-high and weight comes off its front axle, which is what starts a trailer swaying behind you. Tow it nose-low and you overload that front axle and the trailer dives every time you hit the brakes. Either way you are burning through tires, riding rough, and stretching out your stopping distance. For most lifted-truck owners, getting the trailer sitting dead level is the single biggest safety upgrade they can make, and the Super Drop frame is what makes it possible without giving up air ride.
