Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
You back up to the trailer and the numbers just do not line up. Your truck sits tall, the trailer tongue sits low, and no matter how you set the coupler the trailer rides nose-high or nose-low. That off-level tow is where the chucking, the sway, and the white-knuckle stops come from. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop closes that gap. The 12-hole Super Drop frame gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, enough to level a lifted rig over a low-deck trailer, and it does it while keeping the same 20K air ride that soaks up frost heaves and hard stops instead of slamming them into your truck and cargo. Rated at 20,000 lbs GTW, so it hauls the heaviest trailer you will put behind a half-ton, three-quarter-ton, or one-ton. It slides into any 2-inch receiver, and the 3-1/2 inch to 11-1/2 inch drop range lets you dial in a dead-level tow on tall trucks and low trailers alike.

Why the Super Drop Frame
Four Extra Holes, A Lot More Drop
This frame has four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what get you into the 10 to 12 inch drop range a lifted truck needs to sit a trailer level.
Air Ride Even at Full Drop
Most deep-drop hitches are solid steel, so every bump and pothole comes straight through to your hands and your load. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the whole drop range, so you get the clearance without giving up the smooth ride.
Flip It Over for Rise
Turn the frame upside down and you get up to 2 inches of rise. Handy if you run a cab-over camper or a trailer that sits high on a stock-height truck.
One Frame, Every Attachment
It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment, including combo balls, pintles, clevises, and drawbars. Buy the frame once and swap the attachment as your trailers change, no need to start over.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
If your factory hitch hangs the trailer nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop than it can give. This frame is what closes that gap.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups (3 to 6 inch lifts)
- Trailers with low front tongues that ride too low behind a stock-height truck
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dually trucks that ride tall from the factory
- Any rig where a standard 6 to 7 inch drop still will not get the trailer level
- F-150-class half-ton trucks (and class III/IV receivers) running aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both run the same 20K air ride chassis. The only real question is how much drop your setup actually needs.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Gives you up to roughly 7 inches of drop. That is plenty for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer, and it costs less, so it is the everyday pick for most rigs.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Reach for this one when the standard frame cannot get the trailer level, on lifted trucks, low-tongue trailers, or any odd height mismatch. It runs about $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.
Why a Level Tow Matters More Than You Would Think
When a trailer tows nose-high, it pulls weight off the trailer's front axle, and that is what starts the sway. Tow it nose-low and you overload that front axle, so the trailer dives every time you hit the brakes. Either way you are burning through tires, riding rough, and stopping longer than you should. For most folks running a lifted truck, getting the trailer sitting level is the single biggest safety upgrade they can make, and the Super Drop frame is what makes it possible without giving up the air ride.
