Built-in HD Air Ride System

Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Your truck sits tall and the trailer tongue sits low, so the trailer rides nose-high, chucking and swaying over every frost heave and white-knuckle stop. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop closes that gap. Its 12-hole Super Drop frame gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, so a lifted rig and a low-deck trailer can finally sit dead level. And it does it on the same 20K air ride airbag as the rest of the HD Max Black line, so you get the clearance without the bone-jarring ride of a solid steel drop hitch. Rated at 20,000 lbs GTW, it fits a 2-inch receiver and adjusts from 1/2" to 8-1/2" Drop to dial in level tow on lifted trucks and low-tongue trailers.

Why the Super Drop Frame
Four Extra Holes, A Lot More Drop
You get four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what let a lifted truck reach 10 to 12 inches of drop and still hook up level.
Air Ride at Every Drop Setting
Most deep-drop hitches are solid steel, so every bump comes straight through to the cab. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the whole drop range, so you get the clearance you need without beating up your back, your truck, or your cargo.
Flip It for Rise
Turn the frame over and you have up to 2 inches of rise. Handy for a cab-over camper or a taller trailer tongue on a stock-height truck.
Works With Your HD Max Black Attachments
It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment, from combo balls to pintles, clevises, and drawbars. Buy the frame once and swap attachments as your trailers change.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
If your factory hitch leaves the trailer sitting nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop range, and this frame gives it to you.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups running 3 to 6 inch lifts
- Trailers with low front tongues that ride nose-up behind a tall truck
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks that sit tall from the factory
- Any rig where a standard 6 to 7 inch drop still cannot get the trailer level
- F-150-class half-ton trucks on aftermarket suspension (and class III/IV receivers)
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both ride on the same 20K air ride chassis. Pick based on how much drop your setup actually needs.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Gives you up to roughly 7 inches of drop. That is plenty for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer, and it costs less. This is the one most buyers reach for first.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Reach for this one when the standard frame cannot get the trailer level, like on lifted trucks, low-tongue trailers, or odd height mismatches. It runs about $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.
Why Getting the Trailer Level Matters So Much
When a trailer tows nose-high, weight comes off its front axle and the whole thing starts to sway behind you. When it tows nose-low, the front axle takes too much load and the trailer dives every time you hit the brakes. Either way you pay for it in tire wear, a rougher ride, and longer stops. For most lifted-truck owners, getting the trailer level is the single biggest safety upgrade they can make, and the Super Drop frame is what makes it possible without giving up air ride.
Built to Take a Beating and Keep Its Looks
The chassis is heavy-duty steel wrapped in a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, fights off rock chips, and holds up to UV better than a gloss finish. Inside is the same multi-ply commercial air bag that runs across the Shocker HD line. It comes with Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, and it is in stock and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait.
