How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
A 20K Air Spring Between You and the Road
The HD multi-ply rubber air bag carries up to 20,000 lbs of trailer while it soaks up the road shock that would otherwise hammer your truck and your cargo. Same engineering as the HD Red, finished to match the matte-black frame.
Tune It to the Load You're Pulling
A heavy bumper-pull trailer can swing 1,000+ lbs between empty and loaded. Add air for the max-weight run, let some out for the deadhead home. The HD airbag gives you a wider usable pressure range than the 14K.
A Frame Built for 20K
It keeps the same external 8-hole geometry, so every Shocker ball mount still fits, but the wall steel is thicker and the welds are reinforced for 20K loads, all under a textured matte-black powder coat.

Flip It for Drop or Rise
This Shocker HD Max Black Air Hitch & Drop Ball Mount w/ 2" Ball & Sway Bar Tabs ships set up with 4-1/2" to 8-1/2" of drop. Most Shocker ball mounts are reversible, so you can flip the mount to turn that drop into rise, or use the 8 adjustment holes to fine-tune coupler height. Heavy bumper-pull trailers are picky about sitting level. Get the drop wrong and you overload either the front or rear axle of the trailer, so take the time to dial it in.
