Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
You lift the truck, or you pick up a low-deck trailer, and now the tongue sits way below your receiver. Hook up anyway and the trailer rides nose-high, which is what starts the sway, chews through your tires, and turns every hard stop into a white-knuckle moment. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop is built to close that gap. Its 12-hole Super Drop frame reaches up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, so you can finally pull the trailer dead level, and it does it on the same 20K air ride suspension the whole HD Max Black line is known for. This Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop Air Hitch & Drop Ball Mount w/ 2-5/16" Ball & Sway Bar Tabs is rated at 20,000 lbs GTW, drops into a 3-inch receiver, and gives you 4-1/2" to 12-1/2" of drop to dial in a level tow whether you're running a lifted rig or a low-deck trailer.

What the Super Drop Frame Gets You
Four More Holes, More Drop
This frame gives you four extra adjustment holes over the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what unlock 10 to 12 inches of drop, enough to level a lifted truck that leaves a standard frame hanging nose-high.
Air Ride at Every Drop Height
Most deep-drop hitches are solid steel, so every frost heave and pothole slams straight through the truck. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the entire drop range, so you get the clearance you need without trading away a smooth ride.
Flip It for Rise
Need to go the other way? Flip the frame over and you get up to 2 inches of rise, handy for a cab-over camper or a taller trailer tongue behind a stock-height truck.
Works With Your HD Max Black Attachments
It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment (combo balls, pintles, clevises, drawbars). Buy the frame once and swap the attachment as your trailers change, instead of buying a whole new hitch.
Who This Frame Is Built For
If your factory hitch leaves the trailer sitting nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop range than it can give you. This frame is how you get it.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups (3 to 6 inch lifts)
- Trailers with low front tongues that ride nose-high behind a stock-height truck
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks with factory-tall ride heights
- Any rig where a standard 6 to 7 inch drop still can't get the trailer level
- F-350 / RAM 3500 / dual-rear-wheel one-ton trucks (class V/VI receivers) running aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both ride on the same 20K air ride chassis, so this really comes down to one question: how much drop does your setup actually need?
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Gets you up to roughly 7 inches of drop. It's the right call for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer, and it costs less, which makes it the usual pick for most setups.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Gets you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Reach for this one when the standard frame just can't pull the trailer level, meaning lifted trucks, low-tongue trailers, or a bigger height mismatch than usual. It runs $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.
Why a Level Trailer Matters More Than You'd Think
When a trailer tows nose-high, weight comes off its front axle and it starts to sway behind you. When it tows nose-low, the front axle gets overloaded and the whole trailer dives every time you hit the brakes. Either way, your tires wear faster, the ride gets rougher, and it takes you longer to stop. Getting the trailer level is the single biggest safety upgrade most lifted-truck owners can make, and the Super Drop frame is what lets you do it without giving up your air ride.
Built and Finished for the Long Haul
The chassis is heavy-duty steel wearing a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, takes rock chips without showing them, and holds up to years of sun better than any gloss finish. Under that sits the same multi-ply commercial air bag Shocker runs across the whole HD line. It's backed by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, and it's in stock in Canada, so it ships direct with no border wait.
