How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
The Airbag Does the Cushioning
A heavy multi-ply rubber air bag sits between your truck and the load, so the jolts that would slam back through a solid hitch get soaked up instead. It handles up to 20,000 lbs of trailer and still smooths the ride for the truck and the cargo. Same air-ride guts as the HD Red, finished to match the matte-black chassis.
Dial It In Loaded or Empty
A heavy trailer can swing more than 1,000 lbs between empty and full, and a fixed hitch rides rough at one end or the other. Add air for the max-weight run, bleed it off for the deadhead home. The HD airbag has a wider usable pressure range than the 14K, so you get more room to tune.
