Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Your truck sits high, your trailer tongue sits low, and every hookup leaves the trailer riding nose-up. That pulls weight off the front axle, invites sway, and turns every frost heave and hard stop into a white-knuckle fight. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop closes that gap. Its 12-hole Super Drop frame gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, and it keeps the same 20K air ride suspension that defines the HD Max Black line, so you level the load without going back to a bone-jarring solid hitch. Rated at 20,000 lbs GTW, it fits 2-1/2-inch receivers and adjusts from 4-1/2" to 12-1/2" of drop to dial in a level tow on lifted rigs and low-deck trailers.
Key Highlights
- Up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, the deepest in the HD Max Black family, so you can level a low tongue behind a tall truck
- 20,000 lbs GTW hauls the heaviest trailer you'll put behind a heavy-duty pickup, with full air ride soaking up the road
- 12-hole Super Drop frame lets you pin the exact height that sits your trailer dead level
- Textured matte black powder coat hides road grime and shrugs off chips, rust, and UV fade
- 2-1/2-inch shank drops straight into F-250 / RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton trucks (class V receivers)
- Reversible frame flips for extra rise when your tongue sits higher than your receiver
- Same airbag and same chassis strength as the standard HD Max Black 20K, just with more drop range

Why You'd Reach for the Super Drop Frame
Four Extra Holes to Play With
You get four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what unlock 10 to 12 inches of drop, enough to let a lifted truck still meet a low trailer tongue.
Air Ride at Every Drop Setting
Most extreme-drop hitches are solid steel, so every bump comes straight up through the truck. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the entire drop range, so you get the clearance without the harsh ride.
Flip It for Rise
Turn the frame over and you have up to 2 inches of rise. Handy for a cab-over camper or a taller trailer tongue behind a stock-height truck.
One Frame, Every HD Max Black Attachment
It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment, including combo balls, pintles, clevises, and drawbars. Buy the frame once and swap attachments as your trailers change.
The Rigs This Frame Was Made For
If your factory hitch leaves the trailer hanging nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop range than a standard frame gives. This one covers it.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups (3 to 6 inch lifts)
- Trailers with low front tongues that ride nose-down behind stock-height trucks
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks with factory-tall ride heights
- Any rig where a standard 6 to 7 inch drop can't get the trailer level
- F-250 / RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton trucks (class V receivers) running aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both ride on the same 20K air ride chassis. Pick based on how much drop your setup actually needs.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Up to roughly 7 inches of drop. It's the right call for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer, and it costs less than the Super Drop.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Reach for this when the standard frame can't get the trailer level, like on lifted trucks, low-tongue trailers, or odd height mismatches. It runs $50 to $80 over the standard frame.
Why a Level Trailer Matters More Than You'd Think
Tow nose-high and weight comes off the trailer's front axle, which is exactly what starts a trailer swaying behind you. Tow nose-low and you overload that front axle, so the trailer dives every time you hit the brakes. Either way your tires wear faster, the ride gets rougher, and your stopping distance grows. For most lifted-truck owners, getting the trailer level is the single biggest tow safety upgrade they can make, and the Super Drop frame is the tool that gets you there without giving up air ride.
Built and Finished for the Long Haul
The chassis is heavy-duty steel wearing a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, fends off rock chips, and holds up to UV better than a gloss finish. Inside is the same multi-ply commercial air bag Shocker runs across the whole HD line. It's covered by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, and it's in stock and shipping direct from Canada, so there's no border wait.
