Improves Safety
By giving you improved control of your tow vehicle and trailer. The air bag receiver hitch system allows for better control of your pickup and the trailer it is towing.
12 Adjustment Holes & 4-1/2" to 12-1/2" of Drop
With the massive drop of this hitch, you should have at least 22" of height from the ground to the bottom of your trucks receiver tube. Choose a 2" or 2 5/16" hitch ball.
Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
You back up to a low trailer tongue, your truck sits high off a lift or big tires, and the ball ends up inches too tall to hook up level. So you tow nose-up, the trailer starts to wander, and every frost heave and hard stop jars back through the truck. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop closes that gap. Its 12-hole frame gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, and it keeps the same 20K air ride suspension that softens the ride across the whole HD Max Black line. Rated at 20,000 lbs GTW, it slides into 2-1/2-inch receivers and adjusts from 4-1/2 to 12-1/2 inches of drop, so you can dial in a dead-level tow on a lifted rig pulling a low-deck trailer.

Why the Super Drop Frame
Four Extra Holes, Way More Drop
You get four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what let you reach 10 to 12 inches of drop, enough to level a lifted truck sitting over a low trailer tongue.
Soft Ride Even at Full Drop
Most deep-drop hitches are solid steel, so every bump slams straight into your truck. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the entire drop range, so you get the clearance you need and still soak up the road.
Flip It for Rise
Turn the frame over and you get up to 2 inches of rise instead of drop. That comes in handy for a cab-over camper or a taller trailer tongue behind a stock-height truck.
Works With Every HD Max Black Attachment
It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment, from combo balls to pintles, clevises, and drawbars. Buy the frame once and swap the attachment as your trailers change.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
If your factory hitch leaves the trailer sitting nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop to fix it. This frame gives you the room to do it.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups running 3 to 6 inch lifts
- Trailers with low front tongues that sit too low for a normal drop hitch
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks that sit tall right from the factory
- Any rig where a standard 6 to 7 inch drop still leaves the trailer off level
- F-250 and RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton trucks (class V receivers) running aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both ride on the same 20K air ride chassis. The only question is how much drop your setup actually needs.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Gives you up to roughly 7 inches of drop. It is the right call for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer, and it costs less, which is why most buyers start here.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Pick this one when the standard frame just cannot get the trailer level, like on a lifted truck, a low-tongue trailer, or an odd height mismatch. It runs about $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.
Why Level Tow Matters More Than Most Buyers Realize
When a trailer tows nose-high, weight lifts off its front axle and the whole thing starts to wander behind you. When it tows nose-low, the front axle takes too much load and the trailer dives every time you hit the brakes. Either way, you burn through tires faster, feel every bump, and add distance to your stops. Getting the trailer level is the biggest safety upgrade most lifted-truck owners can make, and the Super Drop frame is what makes it possible without giving up the air ride.
Built and Finished for the Long Haul
The chassis is heavy-duty steel wrapped in a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, takes rock chips without flaking, and holds up to sun far better than a gloss finish. Inside is the same multi-ply commercial air bag used across the Shocker HD line. It is backed by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, and it is in stock and ships direct from Canada with no border wait.
