Adjustable for Weight
Fine-tune for your towing weight. Just add air for heavier loads. Adjust the air pressure for the best ride and load control. Fine tune your towing by easily adding or reducing air as needed.
Built-in HD Air Ride System
Absorbs road shock and creates a smooth ride & reduces trailer sway. Dual rubber bump cushions offer additional HD performance.
12 Adjustment Holes
4-1/2" to 12-1/2" of drop. With the massive drop of this hitch, you should have at least 22″ of height from the ground to the bottom of your trucks receiver tube.
2 Hole Receiver Shank
Available for 2", 2 1/2" & 3" receiver hitch tubes with Two hitch pin holes for length adjustability.
Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Lift the truck and your trailer starts riding nose-high, chucking down the highway and getting tippy in the passing lane, beating up your tires and your nerves every time you touch the brakes. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop was built to end that. Its 12-hole frame gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, enough to pull that trailer dead level even off a jacked-up rig, all on the same 20,000 lb air ride suspension the HD Max Black line is known for. The airbag soaks up frost heaves and hard stops instead of slamming them straight into the hitch. Rated at 20,000 lbs GTW, it slides into any 2-inch receiver and adjusts from 4-1/2 to 12-1/2 inches of drop to level out a lifted truck or a low-deck trailer.
Key Highlights
- Drops up to 12-1/2 inches, the deepest reach in the HD Max Black family, so even a jacked-up truck can tow level
- Handles 20,000 lbs GTW on full air ride, so the airbag eats the bumps your frame otherwise would
- 12-hole Super Drop frame lets you fine-tune the height hole by hole until the trailer sits dead flat
- Textured matte black powder coat hides grime and shrugs off chips, rust, and sun fade
- 2-inch shank drops into F-150-class half-ton trucks and any class III/IV receiver
- Flip the frame over for extra rise when your setup calls for it
- Same airbag and same chassis strength as the standard HD Max Black 20K, just with more drop
- Built for lifted trucks, low-tongue gooseneck-converted trailers, and low-deck haulers

What the Super Drop Frame Does For You
Four Extra Holes, Way More Drop
You get four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what let you reach 10 to 12 inches of drop, the range a lifted truck actually needs to sit level.
Air Ride at Every Drop Setting
Most deep-drop hitches are a solid chunk of steel, and every frost heave rings straight through the truck. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the full drop range, so you get the clearance without the pounding.
Flip It Over for Rise
Turn the frame around and you have up to 2 inches of rise. Handy for a cab-over camper or a taller trailer tongue behind a stock-height truck.
Works With Every HD Max Black Attachment
It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment, from combo balls to pintles, clevises, and drawbars. Buy the frame once and swap the attachment when your trailer changes.
The Rigs This Frame Was Made For
If your factory hitch leaves the trailer hanging nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop range to fix it. This frame is that fix.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups running 3 to 6 inch lifts
- Trailers with low front tongues that ride nose-up behind a tall truck
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dually trucks that sit tall straight from the factory
- Any setup where the usual 6 to 7 inch drop still will not get the trailer level
- F-150-class half-ton trucks on aftermarket suspension (and class III/IV receivers)
Super Drop or Standard HD Max Black 20K?
Both ride on the same 20K air ride chassis. The only real question is how much drop your setup actually needs.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Gives you up to roughly 7 inches of drop and costs less. It is the right call for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Reach for it when the standard frame cannot get the trailer level, like on lifted trucks, low-tongue trailers, or big height mismatches. It runs about $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.
Why Towing Level Matters More Than You Would Think
Tow nose-high and weight lifts off the trailer's front axle, and that is exactly what gets a trailer swaying behind you. Tow nose-low and you overload that front axle, so the trailer dives every time you brake. Go either way and you pay for it in chewed-up tires, a rougher ride, and longer stops. Pulling the trailer level is the single biggest safety gain most lifted-truck owners can make, and the Super Drop frame is what makes it happen without giving up air ride.
Built and Finished to Go the Distance
The chassis is heavy-duty steel wrapped in a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, laughs off rock chips, and holds up to sun and UV better than any gloss finish. Inside sits the same multi-ply commercial air bag Shocker runs across the whole HD line. It is covered by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, and it is in stock and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait.
