I've ridden in the trailer myself — the difference in shock is huge. Our horses come off so much more relaxed, and there's less wear on the truck and trailer too.

Adjustable for Weight

Fine-tune for your towing weight. Just add air for heavier loads. Adjust the air pressure for the best ride and load control. Fine tune your towing by easily adding or reducing air as needed.

Built-in HD Air Ride System

Absorbs road shock and creates a smooth ride & reduces trailer sway. Dual rubber bump cushions offer additional HD performance.

12 Adjustment Holes

4-1/2" to 12-1/2" of drop. With the massive drop of this hitch, you should have at least 22″ of height from the ground to the bottom of your trucks receiver tube.

2 Hole Receiver Shank

Available for 2", 2 1/2" & 3" receiver hitch tubes with Two hitch pin holes for length adjustability.

Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.

Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.

When your truck sits up high and your trailer tongue rides low, the trailer tows nose-high and everything suffers. It chucks and sways, the front tires wear funny, and hard stops get sketchy. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop fixes that mismatch. Its 12-hole Super Drop frame gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, so you can bring the trailer nose down to level, and it does it while keeping the same 20K air ride suspension that defines the HD Max Black line. Rated at 20,000 lbs GTW, fitting 2-inch receivers, and adjustable from 4-1/2 inches to 12-1/2 inches of drop, it dials in a level tow on lifted rigs and low-deck trailers without giving up a smooth ride.

Key Highlights

  • Up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, the deepest in the HD Max Black family, so you can level almost any lifted rig

  • 12-hole Super Drop frame lets you fine-tune the exact height for a level tow
  • Textured matte black powder coat fights off chips, rust, and UV fade
  • 2-inch shank drops into F-150-class half-ton trucks (and class III/IV receivers)
  • Reversible frame flips over for extra rise when you need it

Why the Super Drop Frame Earns Its Keep

Four Extra Holes, a Lot More Drop

This frame carries four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what let you pull 10 to 12 inches of drop, enough to level a lifted truck.

A Smooth Ride at Any Drop Setting

Most deep-drop hitches are a solid chunk of steel, so every frost heave and pothole slams straight up through the truck. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the entire drop range, so you get the clearance you need and keep the comfort too.

Flip It Over for Rise

Turn the frame upside down and you get up to 2 inches of rise instead of drop. Handy for a cab-over camper or a taller trailer tongue on a stock-height truck.

One Frame, Every Attachment

It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment, including combo balls, pintles, clevises, and drawbars. Buy the frame once and swap attachments as your trailers change.

Built for These Trucks and Trailers

If your factory hitch leaves the trailer sitting nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop range. This frame gives it to you.

  • Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups (3 to 6 inch lifts)
  • Trailers with low front tongues that sit too low for a stock-height truck
  • Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
  • Dually trucks that ride tall from the factory
  • Any rig where the standard 6 to 7 inch drop cannot get the trailer level
  • F-150-class half-ton trucks (and class III/IV receivers) running aftermarket suspension

Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K

Both run the same 20K air ride chassis. Pick based on how much drop your setup actually needs.

Option 1

Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)

Gives you up to roughly 7 inches of drop. It is the right call for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer, and it costs less. This is the standard HD Max Black setup.

Option 2

HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)

Gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Go with this one when the standard frame cannot get the trailer level, like on lifted trucks, low-tongue trailers, or odd height mismatches. It runs $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.

Why Level Tow Matters More Than Most Buyers Realize

Tow a trailer nose-high and weight comes off the trailer's front axle, which is what gets a sway started. Tow it nose-low and you overload that front axle, so the trailer dives every time you hit the brakes. Either way you chew through tires, the ride turns rough, and your stopping distance grows. Getting the trailer level is the single biggest tow safety upgrade most lifted-truck owners can make, and the Super Drop frame is what makes it possible without giving up air ride.

Built and Finished for the Long Haul

Heavy-duty steel chassis wearing a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, shrugs off rock chips, and holds up to the sun's UV better than a glossy finish. Inside runs the same multi-ply commercial air bag used across the whole Shocker HD line. Backed by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, in stock and shipping direct from Canada, so there is no border wait.
