Improves Safety
By giving you improved control of your tow vehicle and trailer. The air bag receiver hitch system allows for better control of your pickup and the trailer it is towing.
12 Adjustment Holes & 4-1/2" to 12-1/2" of Drop
With the massive drop of this hitch, you should have at least 22" of height from the ground to the bottom of your trucks receiver tube. Choose a 2" or 2 5/16" hitch ball.
Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Your truck sits tall and your trailer tongue rides low, so the trailer hooks up nose-high and fights you the whole way home. It wanders and sways behind you, it chucks hard over frost heaves, and it puts a white-knuckle grip on the wheel at every stop. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop closes that gap. Its 12-hole Super Drop frame gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, so you can finally pull the trailer dead level, and it keeps the same 20K air ride airbag the whole HD Max Black line runs on. Rated at 20,000 lbs GTW, it drops into any 2-inch receiver and adjusts anywhere from 4-1/2 inches to 12-1/2 inches of drop, dialing in a flat, settled tow on lifted rigs and low-deck trailers.

Why the Super Drop Frame
Four Extra Holes, A Lot More Drop
You get four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what let you reach 10 to 12 inches of drop and finally get a lifted truck's trailer sitting level.
Air Ride at Every Drop Setting
Most deep-drop hitches are solid steel, so they beat you and your cargo up over every bump. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the whole drop range, so you get the clearance without trading away a smooth ride.
Flip It Over for Rise
Turn the frame over and you pick up as much as 2 inches of rise. Handy for a cab-over camper or a taller trailer tongue behind a stock-height truck.
Works With Your HD Max Black Attachments
It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment, including combo balls, pintles, clevises, and drawbars. Buy the frame once and swap attachments as your trailers change.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
If your factory hitch leaves your trailer nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop range than it can give. This frame gets you level.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups (3 to 6 inch lifts)
- Trailers with low front tongues that ride nose-down behind a tall truck
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks that already sit tall from the factory
- Any rig where the standard 6 to 7 inch drop can't get the trailer level
- F-150-class half-ton trucks (and class III/IV receivers) running aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both run the same 20K air ride chassis. Pick the one that matches how much drop your setup actually needs.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Gives you up to about 7 inches of drop. That's the right call for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer, and it's the lower-priced, standard pick in the HD Max Black lineup.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Go with this when the standard frame just can't get the trailer level, like on lifted trucks, low-tongue trailers, or oddball height mismatches. It runs $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.
Why a Level Trailer Matters More Than You'd Think
When a trailer tows nose-high, it pulls weight off its own front axle and starts to sway behind you. When it tows nose-low, it overloads that front axle and dives every time you hit the brakes. Either way you get faster tire wear, a rougher ride, and longer stopping distances. For most lifted-truck owners, getting the trailer level is the single biggest safety gain they can make, and the Super Drop frame is what makes it possible without giving up air ride.
Built and Finished to Last
The chassis is heavy-duty steel wearing a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, takes rock chips without flaking, and holds up to sun better than a gloss finish. Inside sits the same multi-ply commercial air bag that runs across the whole Shocker HD line. It's backed by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, in stock, and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait.
