Hitch Rated at 20,000 lbs GTW
HD air hitch rated for 20,000 lbs towing capacity and a 2,000 lbs tongue weight.
12 Adjustment Holes & 3" to 11" Drop
With the massive drop of this hitch, you should have at least 22″ of height from the ground to the bottom of your trucks receiver tube.
Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Your truck sits tall and your trailer tongue sits low, so the trailer rides nose-high, wanders in a crosswind, and jolts you at every hard stop. This Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop closes that gap. The 12-hole Super Drop frame drops the ball up to 12-1/2 inches so a lifted rig and a low-deck trailer finally sit level, and it does it while keeping the same 20K air ride airbag that soaks up frost heaves and rough pavement across the whole HD Max Black line. It hauls up to 16,000 lbs GTW, slides into a 2-1/2-inch receiver, and gives you 3″ Drop to 7″ Drop of fine-tuning to get your load riding flat.

Why the Super Drop Frame
Four Extra Holes, A Lot More Drop
You get four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what let you drop the ball 10 to 12 inches, enough to level a trailer behind a lifted truck.
Air Ride at Every Drop Setting
Most deep-drop hitches are solid steel, so every bump slams straight through your truck and trailer. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the entire drop range, so you get the clearance you need and a soft ride at the same time.
Flip It for Rise
Turn the frame over and you pick up as much as 2 inches of rise. Handy for a cab-over camper or a taller trailer tongue behind a stock-height truck.
Works With Every HD Max Black Attachment
It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment: combo balls, pintles, clevises, and drawbars. Buy the frame once and swap the attachment when your trailers change.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
If your factory hitch leaves the trailer hanging nose-up or nose-down, you simply need more drop range. This frame gives it to you.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups running a 3 to 6 inch lift
- Trailers with low front tongues that ride nose-up even on a stock-height truck
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dually trucks that sit tall straight from the factory
- Any rig where the standard 6 to 7 inch drop still won't get the trailer level
- F-250 and RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton trucks (class V receivers) on aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both ride on the same 20K air ride chassis. Pick the one that matches how much drop your setup actually needs.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Gives you up to roughly 7 inches of drop. It's the right call for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer, and it costs less. This is the standard pick in the HD Max Black line.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Go this route when the standard frame can't get your trailer level, whether that's a lifted truck, a low-tongue trailer, or an odd height mismatch. It runs $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.
Why Getting the Trailer Level Matters So Much
Tow nose-high and weight comes off the trailer's front axle, which is what starts a trailer swaying behind you. Tow nose-low and you overload that front axle so the trailer dives every time you hit the brakes. Both cost you tire wear, a rough ride, and longer stopping distances. For most lifted-truck owners, getting the trailer to sit level is the single biggest safety upgrade they can make, and the Super Drop frame is what makes it possible without giving up air ride.
Built and Finished to Last
The chassis is heavy-duty steel wrapped in a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, takes rock chips without flaking, and holds up to the sun better than a gloss finish. Inside is the same multi-ply commercial air bag used across the Shocker HD line. It's backed by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, and it's in stock and ships direct from Canada with no border wait.
