HD Pivoting Design
Filters the rock shock through the urethane cushions with the greaseable 1" diameter 1045 carbon steel pivot bolt.
Hitch Rated at 20,000 lbs GTW
HD air hitch rated for 20,000 lbs towing capacity and a 2,000 lbs tongue weight.
12 Adjustment Holes & 3" to 11" Drop
With the massive drop of this hitch, you should have at least 22″ of height from the ground to the bottom of your trucks receiver tube.
Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
When your truck rides tall and your trailer tongue sits low, the trailer ends up nose-high or nose-down, and that means sway on the highway, sketchy stops, and a slow beating on your tires and cargo. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop closes that gap. Its 12-hole Super Drop frame gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, and it carries the same 20K air ride suspension that runs through the whole HD Max Black line, so you get a level trailer without the harsh, jarring ride of a solid steel hitch. This Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop Air Channel Style Pintle & Ball Hitch is rated at 16,000 lbs GTW, slides into a 2-inch receiver, and adjusts from 3″ Drop to 7″ Drop so you can dial in a flat, level tow on lifted rigs and low-deck trailers.

Why the Super Drop Frame
12-Hole Drop Range
Four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. That extra room is what gets you 10 to 12 inches of drop, enough to bring a lifted truck's trailer down level.
Air Ride at Any Drop Setting
Most hitches with this much drop are solid steel, which means a hard, jarring ride that beats up your truck and cargo. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the entire drop range, so you never have to trade a smooth ride for clearance.
Reversible for Rise
Flip the frame over and you get up to 2 inches of rise. Handy for a cab-over camper or a taller trailer tongue behind a stock-height truck.
Fits the HD Max Black Ecosystem
It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment (combo balls, pintles, clevises, drawbars). Buy the frame once and swap attachments as your trailers change.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
If your factory hitch leaves your trailer hanging nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop range to fix it. This frame gives it to you.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups running a 3 to 6 inch lift
- Trailers with low front tongues that ride nose-down behind a stock-height truck
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dually trucks that sit tall from the factory
- Any rig where a standard 6 to 7 inch drop still won't get the trailer level
- F-150-class half-ton trucks (and class III/IV receivers) on aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both ride on the same 20K air ride chassis. Pick based on how much drop your setup actually needs.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Up to roughly 7 inches of drop. The right hitch for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer. It costs less and is the default pick in the HD Max Black lineup.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Reach for this one when the standard frame can't get your trailer level, whether that's a lifted truck, a low-tongue trailer, or an odd height mismatch. It adds $50 to $80 over the standard frame.
Why a Level Trailer Matters More Than You'd Think
Tow nose-high and weight comes off the trailer's front axle, and that sets off sway. Tow nose-low and you overload that front axle, so the trailer dives every time you hit the brakes. Go either way and your tires, your ride quality, and your stopping distance all pay for it. Getting the trailer level is the single biggest tow safety upgrade most lifted-truck owners can make, and the Super Drop frame is what lets you do it without giving up air ride.
Built and Finished for the Long Haul
The chassis is heavy-duty steel wearing a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, fights off rock chips, and holds up to UV a lot better than a gloss finish. Inside is the same multi-ply commercial air bag that runs across the Shocker HD line. It's backed by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, and it's in stock and shipping direct from Canada, so there's no border wait.
