Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
When your truck sits tall and your trailer tongue sits low, the trailer rides nose-up and starts to chuck and sway on the highway, and every hard stop and frost heave beats on your truck, your trailer, and whatever you loaded. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop closes that gap. Its 12-hole Super Drop frame gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, and it carries the same 20K air ride suspension that runs through the whole HD Max Black line, so you level the trailer without the bone-jarring ride of a solid steel drop hitch. It's rated at 16,000 lbs GTW (enough to haul just about any bumper-pull trailer you'll put behind a half-ton, three-quarter-ton, or one-ton), slides into a 2-inch receiver, and gives you 3″ Drop to 7″ Drop to dial in level tow on lifted rigs and low-deck trailers.

Why Go With the Super Drop Frame
Four More Holes to Work With
This frame has four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what let you reach 10 to 12 inches of drop, enough to level a lifted truck that a normal hitch leaves hanging nose-up.
Air Ride at Every Drop Setting
Most deep-drop hitches are solid steel, so every pothole and frost heave slams straight through to your truck. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the full drop range, so you get the clearance you need and keep the smooth ride.
Flip It Over for Rise
Flip the frame and you get up to 2 inches of rise. That comes in handy for a cab-over camper or a taller trailer tongue on a stock-height truck.
Works With Your HD Max Black Attachments
It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment: combo balls, pintles, clevises, and drawbars. Buy the frame once and swap attachments as your trailers change.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
If your factory hitch leaves the trailer nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop range to work with. This frame gives it to you.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups (3 to 6 inch lifts)
- Trailers with low front tongues that drag on stock-height trucks
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks with factory-tall ride heights
- Any rig where the standard 6 to 7 inch drop can't get the trailer level
- F-150-class half-ton trucks (and class III/IV receivers) running aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both use the same 20K air ride chassis. Pick based on how much drop your setup actually needs.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Gives you up to roughly 7 inches of drop. It's the right call for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer, and it costs less. This is the default pick in the HD Max Black lineup.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Reach for this one when the standard frame can't get the trailer level, like a lifted truck, a low-tongue trailer, or an odd height mismatch. It runs about $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.
Why Level Tow Matters More Than Most Buyers Realize
A trailer that rides nose-high pulls weight off its own front axle, and that's what starts a sway. A trailer that rides nose-low overloads that front axle and dives every time you hit the brakes. Go either way and you'll chew through tires, fight a rough ride, and add feet to your stopping distance. Getting the trailer level is the single biggest tow safety upgrade most lifted-truck owners can make, and the Super Drop frame is what lets you do it without giving up air ride.
Built and Finished for the Long Haul
The chassis is heavy-duty steel wearing a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, takes rock chips without flaking, and holds up to the sun better than a gloss finish. Inside is the same multi-ply commercial air bag that runs across the Shocker HD line. It's backed by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, in stock, and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait.
