Adjustable for Weight
Fine-tune for your towing weight. Just add air for heavier loads. Adjust the air pressure for the best ride and load control. Fine tune your towing by easily adding or reducing air as needed.
12 Adjustment Holes & 3" Drop to 11" Drop
With the massive drop of this hitch, you should have at least 22″ of height from the ground to the bottom of your trucks receiver tube.
Built-in HD Air Ride System
Absorbs road shock and creates a smooth ride & reduces trailer sway. Dual rubber bump cushions offer additional HD performance.
Improves Safety
By giving you improved control of your tow vehicle and trailer. The air bag receiver hitch system allows for better control of your pickup and the trailer it is towing.
Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Lift a truck or bolt on bigger tires and your receiver climbs, but your trailer tongue stays right where it was. Hook up and the trailer rides nose-high, the front wheels go light, and now you are fighting sway and chewing through tires on every haul. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop closes that gap. Its 12-hole Super Drop frame reaches up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, so you can bring a low tongue down to level even on a jacked-up rig, and the same 20K air ride airbag that runs the whole HD Max Black line takes the punch out of frost heaves and hard stops the entire time. It hauls up to 20,000 lbs GTW, slides into any 2-inch receiver, and dials in from 3″ Drop to 11″ Drop so a lifted truck and a low-deck trailer finally tow flat and settled.
Key Highlights
- Reaches up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, the deepest in the HD Max Black family, so even a tall lifted rig tows level
- Hauls up to 20,000 lbs GTW on full air ride, so the heaviest trailer you'll pull rides smooth instead of jarring
- 12-hole Super Drop frame lets you fine-tune the height hole by hole until the trailer sits dead level
- Textured matte black powder coat shrugs off rock chips, rust, and UV fade, and hides road grime between washes
- 2-inch shank drops into F-150-class half-tons and any class III/IV receiver
- Flip the frame over for added rise when a stock-height truck sits below a taller tongue
- Same airbag and same chassis strength as the standard HD Max Black 20K, just with a lot more drop
- Built for lifted trucks, low-tongue gooseneck-converted trailers, and low-deck haulers

Why You'd Reach for the Super Drop Frame
Four Extra Holes of Drop
Four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what get you the 10 to 12 inches of drop a lifted truck needs to pull a trailer level.
Air Ride at Every Drop Setting
Most deep-drop hitches are a solid chunk of steel, so every bump slams straight through the truck and the trailer. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the entire drop range, so you get the clearance without the beating.
Flips Over for Rise
Flip the frame and you get up to 2 inches of rise instead. Handy for a cab-over camper or a taller trailer tongue behind a stock-height truck.
Works With Your HD Max Black Attachments
Takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment (combo balls, pintles, clevises, drawbars). Buy the frame once and swap the attachment as your trailers change, instead of paying for a whole new hitch.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
If your factory hitch leaves the trailer sitting nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop range than it can give. This frame is how you get it.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups running 3 to 6 inch lifts
- Trailers with low front tongues that sit too low even behind a stock-height truck
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks that ride tall from the factory
- Any rig where the standard 6 to 7 inch drop still cannot get the trailer level
- F-150-class half-tons (and class III/IV receivers) running aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both run the exact same 20K air ride chassis. The only question is how much drop your truck and trailer actually need.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Up to roughly 7 inches of drop. This is the right pick for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer, and it costs a little less.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Reach for this when the 8-hole frame just cannot get the trailer level, like on lifted trucks, low-tongue trailers, or odd height mismatches. It runs about $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.
Why Level Tow Matters More Than Most Buyers Realize
Here is why level matters, in case you are new to towing. When a trailer rides nose-high, weight lifts off its front axle and the trailer starts to sway behind you at highway speed. When it rides nose-low, the front axle gets overloaded and the whole trailer dives forward every time you hit the brakes. Both of those wear tires unevenly, beat up the ride, and stretch out your stopping distance. Getting the trailer to sit level is the single biggest safety upgrade most lifted-truck owners can make, and the Super Drop frame is what lets you do it while keeping full air ride.
Built and Finished for the Long Haul
This is a heavy-duty steel chassis finished in textured matte black powder coat, which hides road grime, fends off rock chips, and holds up to UV better than a glossy finish. Inside it runs the same multi-ply commercial air bag found across the Shocker HD line. It is covered by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, and it is in stock in Canada and ships direct, with no border wait.
