It's the top of the bumper-pull line, sized for F-350, RAM 3500, and dual-rear-wheel one-tons (Class V/VI receivers) with a 3-inch receiver, and it hauls 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight on a heavy-wall HD chassis. All of it in a textured matte-black powder coat, so you get maximum capacity without giving up how the truck looks.

20K-Rated Air Spring: This heavy multi-ply rubber air bag carries up to 20,000 lbs of trailer while soaking up the shock that would otherwise hammer your truck and your cargo. It's the same air-ride engineering as the HD Red, finished to match the matte-black chassis.

Air Up or Bleed Down for the Load: A heavy trailer can swing 1,000+ lbs between empty and loaded, and a fixed hitch can't keep up. Air up for the max-weight run, bleed it down for the deadhead home. The HD air bag has a wider usable pressure range than the 14K, so it covers more of that swing.

Reinforced HD Chassis: It keeps the same external 8-hole geometry, so every Shocker ball mount still fits, but the wall steel is thicker and the welds are reinforced for 20K loads. All of it under a textured matte-black powder coat.

Single Rocker-Arm Pivot: Shocker's down-and-back motion runs on a single pivot, with no slides, rollers, or stacked airbags to wear out, even at HD loads. Fewer moving parts taking the strain means it lasts longer.

Heavier Air Bag and Walls: The 20K-rated HD air bag and reinforced steel walls take you past what the 14K can carry, up to 20,000 lbs GTW with 2,000 lbs of tongue weight. When your loads climb past 14k, this is the one to grab.

Three-Inch Receiver Option: The HD Max Black comes in a 3-inch receiver for dual-rear-wheel one-ton trucks, a size the Max Black 14K doesn't offer.

This Shocker HD Max Black Air Hitch & Pintle Hook w/Mount ships with a 2.5" Rise to 6.5″ Drop ball-mount setup. Most Shocker ball mounts flip over, so you can turn that drop into rise, and the 8 adjustment holes let you fine-tune coupler height on top of that. Getting a heavy trailer level really matters.

Ride nose-high or nose-low and you overload the front or rear axle of the trailer, so take a minute and dial it in right.
