0 to 8-1/2" of drop. The super drop hitch ideally needs at least 22" of height from the ground to the bottom of your trucks receiver tube.
Built-in HD Air Ride System
Absorbs road shock and creates a smooth ride & reduces trailer sway. Dual rubber bump cushions offer additional HD performance.
Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
When your truck sits high and your trailer tongue sits low, the trailer rides nose-up, wanders in the wind, and chews through its front tires. A standard ball mount just can't reach far enough down to fix it. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop closes that gap. The 12-hole Super Drop frame reaches up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, and it does it while the same 20K air ride airbag from the HD Max Black line soaks up the frost heaves and hard stops that a solid steel hitch would slam straight into your spine. Rated at 20,000 lbs GTW, it hauls the heaviest trailer you'll put behind a half-ton, three-quarter-ton, or one-ton, fits 2-1/2-inch receivers, and gives you 1/2" to 8-1/2" Drop to dial your lifted rig or low-deck trailer dead level.

What the Super Drop Frame Does For You
Four Extra Holes, A Lot More Drop
Four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. Those extra holes are what let you reach 10 to 12 inches of drop, enough to get a lifted truck sitting level with the trailer behind it.
Air Ride, Even at Full Drop
Most extreme-drop hitches are a solid chunk of steel, so every bump and expansion joint comes straight up through the truck and the trailer. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the entire drop range, so you get the clearance you need and the cushioned ride too.
Flip It Over for Rise
Turn the frame upside down and you get up to 2 inches of rise. Handy when the trailer tongue sits higher than your hitch, like a cab-over camper or a taller tongue on a stock-height truck.
One Frame, Every HD Max Black Attachment
It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment, including combo balls, pintles, clevises, and drawbars. Buy the frame once and swap the attachment as your trailers change, instead of buying a whole new hitch.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
If your factory hitch leaves the trailer pointing nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop than it can give. This frame is what closes that gap.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups running a 3 to 6 inch lift
- Low-tongue trailers that ride nose-down behind a stock-height truck
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pulls
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks that sit tall straight from the factory
- Any rig where a standard 6 to 7 inch drop still can't get the trailer level
- F-250 and RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton trucks (class V receivers) on aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both ride on the same 20K air ride chassis. Pick the one that matches how much drop your setup actually needs.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Reaches up to roughly 7 inches of drop. The right pick for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer, and it costs less. This is the one most buyers want.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Reaches up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Step up to this one when the standard frame just can't level the trailer, like on a lifted truck, a low-tongue trailer, or an odd height mismatch. It runs $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.
Why a Level Trailer Is a Real Safety Upgrade
Tow nose-high and weight lifts off the trailer's front axle, which is what gets a trailer swaying at highway speed. Tow nose-low and you overload that front axle, so the trailer dives every time you hit the brakes. Either way you burn through tires, ride rougher, and take longer to stop. Getting the trailer level is the single biggest safety win most lifted-truck owners can grab, and the Super Drop frame is what makes it possible without giving up the air ride.
Built to Take Years of Road Abuse
The chassis is heavy-duty steel wearing a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, takes rock chips without showing them, and holds its finish under UV better than gloss. Inside is the same multi-ply commercial air bag Shocker runs across the whole HD line. It's covered by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, and it's in stock and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait.
