I've ridden in the trailer myself — the difference in shock is huge. Our horses come off so much more relaxed, and there's less wear on the truck and trailer too.

Adjustable for Weight

Fine-tune for your towing weight. Just add air for heavier loads. Adjust the air pressure for the best ride and load control. Fine tune your towing by easily adding or reducing air as needed.

Built-in HD Air Ride System

Absorbs road shock and creates a smooth ride & reduces trailer sway. Dual rubber bump cushions offer additional HD performance.

12 Adjustment Holes

2" of rise to 6" of drop. With the massive drop of this hitch, you should have at least 22″ of height from the ground to the bottom of your trucks receiver tube.

2 Hole Receiver Shank

Available for 2", 2 1/2" & 3" receiver hitch tubes with Two hitch pin holes for length adjustability.

Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.

Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.

Lift your truck or pull a low-tongue trailer, and your factory drop hitch runs out of room fast. The nose sits high, the trailer chucks and sways, and every hard stop feels like a fight. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop closes that gap. Its 12-hole Super Drop frame gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, enough to level a trailer behind a lifted rig that a standard hitch can't reach. And it keeps the same 20K air ride suspension the HD Max Black line is built on, so you get the clearance without the bone-jarring ride of a solid drop bar. This Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop Air Hitch & Raised Ball Mount w/ 2-5/16" Ball & Sway Bar Tabs hauls up to 20,000 lbs GTW, drops into a 3-inch receiver, and runs 2" Rise to 6" Drop for dialing in a dead-level tow on lifted trucks and low-deck trailers.

Key Highlights

  • Levels the toughest height mismatches with up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, the deepest in the HD Max Black family
  • Hauls up to 20,000 lbs GTW while the air ride soaks up the road so your cargo isn't taking a beating
  • 12-hole Super Drop frame lets you dial the exact height to sit level, not just close
  • Textured matte black powder coat shrugs off rock chips, rust, and sun fade, so it still looks right years in
  • 3-inch shank drops into the big receivers on F-350, RAM 3500, and dual-rear-wheel one-tons (class V/VI)
  • Reversible frame flips over for added rise when a taller tongue calls for it
  • Same airbag and same chassis strength as the standard HD Max Black 20K, just with more drop
  • Made for lifted trucks, low-tongue gooseneck-converted trailers, and low-deck haulers

Why You'd Reach for the Super Drop Frame

Four Extra Holes, A Lot More Drop

You get four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. That extra range is what gets you 10 to 12 inches of drop, enough to level a trailer behind a lifted truck.

Air Ride at Every Drop Setting

Most extreme-drop hitches are solid steel, which means a hard, jarring ride that beats up the truck and whatever you're hauling. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the entire drop range, so you never trade a smooth ride for the clearance you need.

Flip It for Rise

Turn the frame over and you get up to 2 inches of rise. Handy for a cab-over camper or a taller trailer tongue on a stock-height truck.

Works With Every HD Max Black Attachment

It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment, including combo balls, pintles, clevises, and drawbars. Buy the frame once and swap attachments as your trailers change.

Built For These Trucks and Trailers

If your factory hitch leaves the trailer sitting nose-up or nose-down, you need more drop range than it's got. This frame gives it to you.

  • Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups running 3 to 6 inch lifts
  • Trailers with low front tongues that ride nose-down on stock-height trucks
  • Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
  • Dual-rear-wheel trucks that sit tall from the factory
  • Any rig where a standard 6 to 7 inch drop still won't get the trailer level
  • F-350, RAM 3500, and dual-rear-wheel one-ton trucks (class V/VI receivers) running aftermarket suspension

Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K

Both ride on the same 20K air ride chassis. Pick based on how much drop your setup actually needs to sit level.

Option 1

Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)

Up to roughly 7 inches of drop. This is the one for stock-height trucks pulling typical bumper-pull trailers. It costs less and covers most setups.

Option 2

HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)

Up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Reach for this one when the standard frame can't get the trailer level, meaning lifted trucks, low-tongue trailers, or odd height mismatches. It runs about $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.

Why Level Tow Matters More Than Most Buyers Realize

Tow nose-high and weight comes off the trailer's front axle, which is what starts the trailer swaying behind you. Tow nose-low and you overload that front axle, so the trailer dives every time you hit the brakes. Either way you're burning through tires, fighting a rough ride, and adding to your stopping distance. Getting the trailer to sit level is the single biggest tow safety upgrade most lifted-truck owners can make, and the Super Drop frame is what makes it possible without giving up air ride.

Built and Finished for the Long Haul

The chassis is heavy-duty steel wearing a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, fends off rock chips, and holds up to sun better than a gloss finish. Inside is the same multi-ply commercial air bag Shocker runs across the whole HD line, so you're getting proven parts. Backed by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, in stock and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait.
