Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
When your truck sits tall and your trailer tongue sits low, the trailer rides nose-high the whole way down the road. That means sway, uneven tire wear, and a nose that dives every time you hit the brakes. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop closes that gap. Its 12-hole Super Drop frame gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, enough to bring a low tongue down to level behind a lifted rig, and it carries the same 20K air ride suspension the HD Max Black line is known for, so you get the clearance without the bone-jarring ride of a solid steel hitch. This Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop Air Hitch & Raised Ball Mount w/ 2" Ball is rated at 20,000 lbs GTW, fits 2-1/2-inch receivers, and adjusts from 2" of rise to 6" of drop so you can dial in a level, planted tow on lifted trucks and low-deck trailers.
Key Highlights
- Up to 12-1/2 inches of drop, the deepest reach in the HD Max Black family, so a low tongue rides level behind a tall truck
- Hauls up to 20,000 lbs GTW on full air ride, soaking up frost heaves and hard stops instead of slamming them into your truck and trailer
- 12-hole Super Drop frame lets you fine-tune the height hole by hole until the trailer sits dead level
- Textured matte black powder coat hides road grime and shrugs off chips, rust, and UV fade
- 2-1/2-inch shank drops straight into class V receivers on F-250 and RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton trucks
- Reversible frame flips over for added rise when your trailer tongue sits high instead
- Same airbag and same chassis strength as the standard HD Max Black 20K, just with more drop
- Built for lifted trucks, low-tongue gooseneck-converted trailers, and low-deck haulers

Why the Super Drop Frame
Four Extra Holes of Drop
You get four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black frame. That extra room is what unlocks 10 to 12 inches of drop, enough to bring a low trailer down to a tall, lifted truck.
Air Ride at Every Drop Setting
Most extreme-drop hitches are solid steel, so every bump in the road hammers straight through to your truck and cargo. The Super Drop keeps the airbag working across the entire drop range, so you get the clearance without giving up the smooth ride.
Flips Over for Rise
Turn the frame upside down and you pick up as much as 2 inches of rise. Handy when a cab-over camper or a higher trailer tongue sits above a stock-height truck's receiver.
Works With Every HD Max Black Attachment
It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment, including combo balls, pintles, clevises, and drawbars. Buy the frame once and swap the attachment as your trailers change instead of buying a whole new hitch.
Built For These Trucks and Trailers
If your factory hitch leaves the trailer pointing up or nose-diving toward the ground, you need more drop range than it can give. This frame fixes that.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups running 3 to 6 inch lifts
- Low-tongue trailers that sit nose-high when hooked to a taller truck
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pull trailers
- Dually trucks that sit tall from the factory
- Any setup where the standard 6 to 7 inch drop still leaves the trailer off level
- F-250 and RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton trucks (class V receivers) running aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both ride on the same 20K air ride chassis. Pick the one that matches how much drop your truck and trailer actually need.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Gives you up to roughly 7 inches of drop. It is the right call for a stock-height truck pulling a typical bumper-pull trailer, and it costs less than the Super Drop.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Reach for this one when the standard frame cannot get the trailer level, like on lifted trucks, low-tongue trailers, or odd height mismatches. It runs about $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.
Why a Level Trailer Matters More Than You Think
When a trailer tows nose-high, it pulls weight off the trailer's front axle and starts to sway behind you. When it tows nose-low, it overloads that front axle and dives every time you brake. Either way you pay for it in chewed-up tires, a rougher ride, and longer stopping distances. Getting the trailer level is the single biggest tow safety upgrade most lifted-truck owners can make, and the Super Drop frame is what makes it possible without giving up air ride.
Built and Finished for the Long Haul
The chassis is heavy-duty steel wrapped in a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, fights off rock chips, and holds up to UV better than a gloss finish. Inside is the same multi-ply commercial air bag Shocker runs across the HD line. It is covered by Shocker's 60-day satisfaction guarantee, and it is in stock and shipping from Canada, so there is no border wait.
