Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
You lifted the truck, and now every trailer you hook up rides nose-high, chucking over bumps and wandering behind you at highway speed. When your receiver sits that far above a low trailer tongue, an ordinary drop hitch just cannot bring the nose back down. The Shocker HD Max Black Super Drop closes that gap. Its 12-hole Super Drop frame drops up to 12-1/2 inches, so you can finally pull the trailer level, and it does it on the same 20K air ride suspension that runs the whole HD Max Black line, so the ride stays smooth instead of hammering your truck and your load. Rated at 20,000 lbs GTW, fitting 2-inch receivers, with 2" Rise to 6" Drop of adjustment, it dials in a level tow on lifted rigs and low-deck trailers.

What the Super Drop Frame Buys You
Four Extra Holes, A Lot More Drop
This frame carries four more adjustment holes than the standard 8-hole HD Max Black. Those extra holes are what let you dial in 10 to 12 inches of drop and match a tall lifted truck to a low trailer tongue.
Smooth Ride at Every Drop Setting
Most deep-drop hitches are solid steel, so every frost heave and pothole slams straight through the truck. The Super Drop keeps its airbag working across the entire drop range, so you get the clearance without beating up your truck, trailer, and cargo.
Flip It for Rise
Turn the frame over and you get up to 2 inches of rise instead, handy for a cab-over camper or a taller trailer tongue behind a stock-height truck. One frame covers both directions.
Works With Every HD Max Black Attachment
It takes every HD Max Black ball mount attachment, from combo balls and pintles to clevises and drawbars. Buy the frame once and swap the attachment as your trailers change, instead of buying a whole new hitch.
Who This Frame Is Built For
If your current hitch leaves the trailer nose-up or nose-down, you simply need more drop range to work with. This frame gives it to you.
- Lifted half-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton pickups running 3 to 6 inch lifts
- Low-tongue trailers that already ride nose-high behind a stock truck
- Low-deck equipment haulers, race trailers, and gooseneck-converted bumper-pulls
- Dually trucks that sit tall straight from the factory
- Any setup where a standard 6 to 7 inch drop still leaves the trailer off-level
- F-150-class half-tons (and class III/IV receivers) on aftermarket suspension
Super Drop vs Standard HD Max Black 20K
Both hitches use the same 20K air ride chassis, so this comes down to one thing: how much drop your truck and trailer actually need.
Standard HD Max Black 20K (8-hole frame)
Gives you up to roughly 7 inches of drop and costs less. That is plenty for a stock-height truck pulling most bumper-pull trailers, and it is the standard pick in the HD Max Black line.
HD Max Black Super Drop (12-hole frame)
Gives you up to 12-1/2 inches of drop. Reach for it when the standard frame just cannot get the trailer level, like a lifted truck, a low-tongue trailer, or an odd height mismatch. It runs about $50 to $80 more than the standard frame.
Why Getting the Trailer Level Matters So Much
Tow nose-high and weight comes off the trailer's front axle, which is what starts a trailer swaying behind you. Tow nose-low and you overload that front axle and the trailer dives every time you hit the brakes. Either way you pay for it in faster tire wear, a rougher ride, and longer stopping distances. For most lifted-truck owners, pulling the trailer level is the single biggest safety upgrade they can make, and this Super Drop frame is what makes it possible without giving up air ride.
Built and Finished to Take a Beating
Heavy-duty steel chassis under a textured matte black powder coat that hides road grime, takes rock chips without flaking, and holds up to the sun better than a gloss finish. It runs the same multi-ply commercial air bag found across the Shocker HD line.
