Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Haul something heavy and you feel it. Every frost heave, expansion joint, and hard stop slams up through the ball and jars the truck, the trailer, and whatever's riding in it. That chucking on the highway and the white-knuckle braking wear on both rigs over time. The Shocker HD Air Hitch is the heavy-duty 20K answer, the red-finish flagship of the Shocker bumper-pull lineup. It slides into the 2-inch receiver on F-150-class half-ton trucks (and class III/IV receivers) and carries 20,000 lbs of trailer plus the tongue weight that comes with it, taking the punch out of the road on a beefier-wall version of Shocker's proven 8-hole chassis with an upgraded HD-rated airbag. This is the hitch for one-ton trucks pulling the heaviest legal bumper-pull loads.

How the HD Air Ride Soaks Up the Road
A 20K-Rated Air Spring Does the Work
The HD air bag is multi-ply rubber with a heavier ply count than the 14K version. It carries up to 20,000 lbs of trailer load and still cushions the road shock before it reaches your truck and cargo.
Tune It to the Load You're Pulling
A heavy bumper-pull trailer can swing 1,000+ lbs between empty and full. Add air for the loaded run, let some out for the deadhead home. The HD airbag has a wider usable pressure range than the 14K, so it keeps up with the swing.
A Reinforced 8-Hole Chassis
Same outside geometry as the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still fits. Inside it's thicker-wall steel with reinforced welds rated for the full 20K loadings.
One Rocker-Arm Pivot
Shocker's down-and-back motion runs on a single pivot. No slides, no rollers, no stacked airbags, even at HD loadings. Fewer moving parts under high stress means a longer service life.
Who the HD 20K Is Built For
Made for one-ton trucks and the heaviest legal bumper-pull combinations on the road.
- F-350, RAM 3500, and Silverado 3500 owners towing near their max trailer ratings
- Livestock haulers running 30+ ft, gooseneck-equivalent bumper-pull stock trailers
- Equipment and skid-steer haulers on 16k+ tilt-deck trailers
- Big enclosed cargo trailers and car haulers up to 20,000 lbs
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks with a three-inch receiver that need a matched HD hitch
- Anyone whose Original 14K is bottoming out under heavy tongue weight
HD vs. Original, What Changed
Same chassis silhouette, same attachments that fit it, with three upgrades that matter:
Heavier Airbag
A multi-ply rubber bag rated for the full 20K GTW with a wider usable pressure range. It takes heavier tongue weight without bottoming out on you.
Beefier Walls and Welds
Thicker steel and a reinforced weld pattern right where the stress lives. Rated for more tongue weight than the 1,400 lbs on the Original 14K.
Flip It From Drop to Rise
This Shocker HD Air Hitch & Cushion Drawbar Mount ships set up for 1/2" to 4-1/2" of drop. Most Shocker ball mounts flip over, so you can turn that drop into rise, and the 8 adjustment holes let you fine-tune coupler height on top of that. Level matters more the heavier you go. A trailer riding nose-up or nose-down dumps its weight onto the front or rear axle, so take the time to dial it in.
Built for the Heaviest Bumper-Pull Loads
Reinforced heavy-wall steel under Shocker's signature impact-resistant safety-red powder coat, in stock and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait. If the HD-rated air bag ever needs replacing, you can do it yourself in minutes using the same simple Schrader-style fitting as the 14K. Backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
