You get 20,000 lbs GTW and up to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight on a beefier-wall version of Shocker's 8-hole chassis with an upgraded HD-rated airbag, so a one-ton truck can pull the heaviest legal bumper-pull loads and still ride easy.

How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
20K-Rated Air Spring
This is the part that does the work. An HD multi-ply rubber air bag with a heavier ply count than the 14K version carries up to 20,000 lbs of trailer load and still soaks up road shock before it reaches your truck and cargo.
Adjustable for Heavy Loads
A heavy bumper-pull load can swing more than 1,000 lbs between empty and full. Add air for the max-weight run, then bleed it back off for the empty drive home. The HD airbag gives you a wider usable pressure range than the 14K.
Reinforced 8-Hole Chassis
The outside geometry matches the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still fits, but the steel is thicker and the welds are reinforced to carry the 20K loadings.
Rocker-Arm Pivot
Shocker's down-and-back motion runs on a single pivot, with no slides, rollers, or stacked airbags, even at HD loadings. Fewer moving parts under high stress means it lasts longer.

This Shocker HD Air Hitch & Clevis Mount ships set up as a 3-1/2" to 7-1/2" Drop ball mount. Most Shocker ball mounts are reversible, so you can flip the mount to turn that drop into rise, or use the 8 adjustment holes to fine-tune coupler height. Heavy bumper-pull trailers care a lot about sitting level. If the drop is off, you overload either the front or rear axle of the trailer, so take the time to dial it in.
