Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Bolt a heavy trailer to a solid ball mount and you feel every frost heave and hard stop slam up through the truck and back through the load. That pounding wears out driveline, trailer welds, and cargo, and it turns a big pull into white-knuckle work. The Shocker HD Air Hitch & Clevis Mount drops a cushion of air between your truck and that weight. It is the heavy-duty 20K red-finish flagship of the Shocker bumper-pull lineup, built on a beefier-wall version of Shocker's signature 8-hole chassis with an upgraded HD-rated air bag. Sized for F-150-class half-ton trucks (and class III/IV receivers) with a 2-inch receiver, it carries 20,000 lbs GTW and up to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight, enough for the heaviest legal bumper-pull loads a one-ton truck can pull.

How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
20K-Rated Air Spring
The air bag is heavier multi-ply rubber with more plies than the 14K version, so it carries the full 20,000 lbs of trailer and still soaks up the road shock that would otherwise hammer the truck and your cargo.
Tune It to the Load
A heavy trailer can swing 1,000+ lbs between empty and full, so a ride that feels right loaded turns harsh running back empty. Add air for the max-weight run and bleed it off for the deadhead. The HD air bag has a wider usable pressure range than the 14K, so you have room to dial it in either way.
Reinforced 8-Hole Chassis
It keeps the same outside shape as the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still fits, but the wall steel is thicker and the welds are reinforced to carry the 20K loads.
One Simple Pivot
Shocker's down-and-back motion rides on a single pivot, with no slides, rollers, or stacked air bags to wear out, even at HD loads. Fewer moving parts under that kind of stress means a longer service life.
Who the HD 20K Is Built For
For one-ton trucks and the heaviest legal bumper-pull loads on the road.
- F-350, RAM 3500, or Silverado 3500 owners towing near their max trailer rating
- Livestock haulers running 30+ ft stock trailers on a bumper-pull hitch
- Equipment and skid-steer haulers running 16k+ tilt-deck trailers
- Big enclosed cargo trailers and car haulers up to 20,000 lbs
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks with a three-inch receiver that need a matched HD hitch
- Anyone whose Original 14K is bottoming out under heavy tongue weight
What the HD Adds Over the Original
Same chassis shape, same attachment lineup, with three meaningful upgrades.
Heavier Air Bag
A multi-ply rubber bag rated for the full 20K GTW with a wider usable pressure range, so it takes heavier tongue weight without bottoming out.
Beefier Walls and Welds
Thicker steel and a reinforced weld pattern at the high-stress points push the tongue-weight rating to 2,000 lbs, up from 1,400 lbs on the Original 14K.
Get the Trailer Sitting Level
This Shocker HD Air Hitch & Clevis Mount ships in a 3-1/2" to 7-1/2" Drop ball-mount setup. Most Shocker ball mounts are reversible, so you can flip the mount to turn drop into rise, and the 8 adjustment holes let you fine-tune coupler height from there. A heavy trailer that rides nose-high or nose-low pushes its weight onto the front or rear axle instead of sharing it, so take the time to get the coupler height right.
Built to Take a Beating
Reinforced heavy-wall steel takes the load, and Shocker's impact-resistant safety-red powder coat takes the road grime, gravel, and weather. It is in stock and ships direct from Canada, so there is no border wait. If the HD-rated air bag ever needs replacing, it comes out and back in within minutes using the same simple Schrader-style fitting as the 14K. Every one is backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
