Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Haul a heavy bumper-pull trailer and every frost heave and hard stop drives straight up through the ball, jarring the truck, the hitch, and whatever you've got loaded. The Shocker HD Air Hitch is the heavy-duty 20K red-finish flagship of the Shocker bumper-pull lineup, and it takes that punishment so your rig doesn't have to. It fits F-150-class half-ton trucks (and class III/IV receivers) with a 2-inch receiver, and delivers 20,000 lbs GTW, the heaviest legal bumper-pull load a one-ton truck can pull. It runs a beefier-wall version of Shocker's signature 8-hole chassis with an upgraded HD-rated airbag, so it stands up to the biggest loads and still cushions the ride.

How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
20K-Rated Air Spring
The HD air bag uses a heavier ply count than the 14K version, so it carries up to 20,000 lbs of trailer load and still soaks up the road shock that would otherwise pound your truck and cargo.
Dial It In for Any Load
A heavy bumper-pull trailer can swing more than 1,000 lbs between empty and full. Add air for a loaded, max-weight run and let it back out on the deadhead home. The HD airbag has a wider usable pressure range than the 14K, so it covers both ends without a fight.
Reinforced 8-Hole Chassis
It keeps the same outside shape as the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still bolts right on. The difference is thicker-wall steel and reinforced welds rated to carry the full 20K.
Single Rocker-Arm Pivot
Shocker's down-and-back motion rides on one pivot, with no slides, rollers, or stacked airbags, even at HD loadings. Fewer moving parts taking the strain means less to wear out and a longer service life.
Who Buys the HD 20K
Built for one-ton trucks and the heaviest legal bumper-pull combinations you can run.
- F-350, RAM 3500, or Silverado 3500 owners towing near their max trailer rating
- Livestock haulers running 30+ ft gooseneck-equivalent bumper-pull stock trailers
- Equipment and skid-steer haulers running 16k+ tilt-deck trailers
- Big enclosed cargo trailers and car haulers up to 20,000 lbs
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks with a three-inch receiver that need a matched HD hitch
- Anyone whose Original 14K is bottoming out under heavy tongue weight
HD vs. Original: What's Actually Different
Same chassis silhouette and the same attachment ecosystem, with three meaningful upgrades:
Heavier Airbag
A multi-ply rubber bag rated for the full 20K GTW with a wider usable pressure range. It carries heavier tongue weight without bottoming out.
Beefier Walls and Welds
Thicker steel and a reinforced weld pattern at the high-stress points, so it takes more tongue weight than the 1,400 lbs the Original 14K is rated for.
Flip It for Drop or Rise
A trailer that rides nose-high or nose-low hammers one axle and chews up the tires, and heavy bumper-pull trailers feel it worst. This Shocker HD Air Hitch & Drawbar Mount ships in a 1/2" to 4-1/2" Drop ball-mount configuration. Most Shocker ball mounts flip over to turn that drop into rise, and the 8 adjustment holes let you fine-tune coupler height. Get the trailer sitting level so a mismatched drop isn't overloading either the front or rear axle, and dial it in carefully.
Built for Your Heaviest Loads
This hitch is made from reinforced heavy-wall steel and finished in Shocker's signature impact-resistant safety-red powder coat, and it's in stock and shipping direct from Canada, so there's no border wait. If the HD-rated air bag ever needs replacing, you can swap it in minutes using the same simple Schrader-style fitting found on the 14K. It's backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
