How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
An Air Spring Rated to 20K
The HD air bag uses more plies of rubber than the 14K version, so it carries up to 20,000 lbs of trailer load and still cushions the road shock that would otherwise beat on your truck and cargo.
Dial It In for Heavy Loads
A heavy bumper-pull trailer can swing 1,000 lbs or more between empty and full. Add air for the max-weight run, let some out on the deadhead home. The HD airbag has a wider usable pressure range than the 14K, so it covers that whole spread.
A Reinforced 8-Hole Chassis
Same external geometry as the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still fits, but built with thicker-wall steel and reinforced welds rated for the 20K loadings.

Most Shocker ball mounts are reversible, so you can flip the mount to turn drop into rise, or use the 8 adjustment holes to fine-tune coupler height. Getting this right matters even more on heavy loads. A mismatched drop leaves the trailer riding nose-up or nose-down and overloads either the front or rear axle, so take the time to dial it in.
