Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Load a one-ton near the top of what it can legally pull and you feel every frost heave, pothole, and hard stop punch back through the truck and into your cargo. The Shocker HD Air Hitch takes that beating out of the ride. It's the heavy-duty 20K flagship of the bumper-pull lineup in impact-red finish, delivering 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight, the heaviest bumper-pull rating Shocker offers. It runs a beefier-wall version of Shocker's proven 8-hole chassis with an upgraded HD-rated airbag, sized for F-350, RAM 3500, and dual-rear-wheel one-ton trucks (class V/VI receivers) with a 3-inch receiver. When your Original 14K is bottoming out under heavy tongue weight, this is the one built for the heavy stuff.

How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
Air Spring That Carries 20K
This HD air bag uses more plies of rubber than the 14K version, so it holds up to 20,000 lbs of trailer weight and still soaks up the road shock that would otherwise pound your truck and cargo.
Air Up Loaded, Air Down Empty
A heavy bumper-pull trailer can swing 1,000+ lbs between empty and full. Air it up for the max-weight run, bleed it back down for the deadhead home. The HD airbag gives you a wider usable pressure range than the 14K, so you cover both ends.
Same 8-Hole Chassis, More Steel
Same outside shape as the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still bolts right on. Inside it's thicker-wall steel with reinforced welds, rated to carry the full 20K.
One Simple Pivot
Shocker's down-and-back cushioning rides on a single rocker-arm pivot, with no slides, rollers, or stacked airbags, even at HD loads. Fewer parts under that kind of stress means it lasts longer.
Who the HD 20K Is For
Built for one-ton trucks and the heaviest legal bumper-pull loads.
- F-350, RAM 3500, and Silverado 3500 owners towing near their max trailer rating
- Livestock haulers pulling 30+ ft, gooseneck-equivalent bumper-pull stock trailers
- Equipment and skid-steer guys running 16k+ tilt-deck trailers
- Big enclosed cargo trailers and car haulers up to 20,000 lbs
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks with a 3-inch receiver that need a matched HD hitch
- Anyone whose Original 14K is bottoming out under heavy tongue weight
HD vs. Original: What's Different
Same chassis silhouette, same attachments, with three upgrades that matter:
A Heavier Airbag
A multi-ply rubber bag rated for the full 20K GTW, with a wider usable pressure range. It takes heavier tongue weight without bottoming out on a bump.
Beefier Walls and Welds
Thicker steel and a reinforced weld pattern where the stress concentrates. That's what takes it to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight, up from 1,400 lbs on the Original 14K.
Flip It for Drop or Rise
This one ships set up as a 4-1/2" to 8-1/2" drop ball mount. Most Shocker ball mounts flip over, so you can turn that drop into rise, and the 8 adjustment holes let you fine-tune coupler height. Heavy bumper-pull trailers are fussy about sitting level. Get the drop wrong and you overload either the front or rear axle of the trailer, so take the time to dial it in.
Built for Maximum Bumper-Pull Loads
Heavy-wall reinforced steel under Shocker's impact-resistant safety-red powder coat, in stock and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait. If the HD air bag ever needs swapping, it comes out in minutes using the same simple Schrader-style fitting as the 14K. Backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
