This is the 20K red flagship of the bumper-pull line, sized for F-350, RAM 3500, and dual-rear-wheel one-ton trucks with a 3-inch receiver (class V/VI). It hauls up to 16,000 lbs GTW and up to 1,600 lbs of tongue weight on a beefier-wall version of Shocker's 8-hole chassis with an upgraded HD-rated airbag, built for the heaviest legal bumper-pull loads a one-ton can pull.

How the HD Air Ride Works
20K-Rated Air Spring
This HD air bag uses more rubber plies than the 14K version, so it carries up to 16,000 lbs of trailer and still soaks up the road shock that would otherwise beat on your truck and cargo.
Adjustable for Heavy Loads
A heavy trailer can swing 1,000+ lbs between empty and loaded. Pump in air for a max-weight haul, then let it back out for the deadhead run home. The HD airbag has a wider usable pressure range than the 14K, so it covers both ends.
Reinforced 8-Hole Chassis
It keeps the same outside shape as the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still bolts on. The difference is thicker wall steel and reinforced welds rated for the full 20K load.
Rocker-Arm Pivot
Shocker's down-and-back motion runs on a single pivot, with no slides, rollers, or stacked airbags, even at these HD loadings. Fewer moving parts taking the stress means a hitch that lasts longer.

What the HD Adds Over the Original 14K
Same chassis shape, and every Shocker attachment still fits. What changes is a heavier airbag, beefier walls, and the option of a 3-inch receiver.
Heavier Airbag
A multi-ply rubber bag rated for the full 20K GTW with a wider usable pressure range, so it carries heavier tongue weight without bottoming out on a bump.
Beefier Walls + Welds
Thicker steel and a reinforced weld pattern where the stress concentrates. That takes tongue weight up to 1,600 lbs, versus 1,400 lbs on the Original 14K.
Flip It for Drop or Rise
This hitch ships set up with a 3″ Drop to 7″ Drop ball mount. Most Shocker ball mounts are reversible, so you can flip the mount to turn drop into rise, or use the 8 adjustment holes to fine-tune your coupler height. A heavy bumper-pull trailer is fussy about sitting level. Get the drop wrong and you overload either the front or rear axle of the trailer, so take the time to dial it in.
