Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Load a heavy trailer on a solid steel hitch and every frost heave, pothole, and hard stop slams straight through the ball into your truck, your trailer welds, and whatever you are hauling. Under the biggest loads that pounding gets brutal, wearing on driveline, cargo, and your patience mile after mile. The Shocker HD Air Hitch is the red-finish 20K flagship built to soak up that punishment. Its HD-rated airbag rides on a beefier-wall version of Shocker's 8-hole chassis and carries 16,000 lbs GTW with up to 1,600 lbs of tongue weight, so a one-ton truck can pull the heaviest legal bumper-pull loads and still ride smooth. It fits a 2-inch receiver on F-150-class half-tons and class III/IV receivers on up.

How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
20K-Rated Air Spring
A multi-ply rubber air bag with a heavier ply count than the 14K version. It carries up to 16,000 lbs of trailer load and still cushions the jolts before they reach your truck and cargo.
Air You Adjust for the Load
A heavy bumper-pull trailer can swing 1,000+ lbs between empty and full, and a fixed hitch rides wrong at one end or the other. Add air for the loaded run, bleed it off for the deadhead. The HD airbag has a wider usable pressure range than the 14K.
Reinforced 8-Hole Chassis
Same outside geometry as the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount bolts right on. Underneath it runs thicker-wall steel and reinforced welds rated for the full 20K loadings.
Rocker-Arm Pivot
Shocker's down-and-back motion works off one pivot, with no slides, rollers, or stacked airbags to wear out, even at HD loadings. Fewer moving parts under this much stress means it lasts longer.
Who Buys the HD 20K
Designed for one-ton trucks and the heaviest legal bumper-pull combinations.
- F-350, RAM 3500, and Silverado 3500 owners towing near max trailer ratings
- Livestock haulers pulling 30+ ft bumper-pull stock trailers
- Equipment and skid-steer haulers running 16k+ tilt-deck trailers
- Big enclosed cargo trailers and car haulers up to 16,000 lbs
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks that need a matched HD hitch on a 3-inch receiver
- Anyone whose Original 14K is bottoming out under heavy tongue weight
HD vs. Original: What's Different
Same chassis shape and the same attachment lineup, with three upgrades that actually matter:
Heavier Airbag
A multi-ply rubber bag rated for the full 20K GTW with a wider usable pressure range. It carries heavier tongue weight without bottoming out on the rough stuff.
Beefier Walls + Welds
Thicker steel and a reinforced weld pattern at the high-stress points. That is what takes it to 1,600 lbs of tongue weight, up from 1,400 lbs on the Original 14K.
Flippable Drop / Rise Geometry
A trailer that rides nose-high or nose-low dumps its weight onto one axle, which chews tires and makes the whole rig wander behind you. This hitch ships in a 3″ Drop to 7″ Drop ball-mount setup, and most Shocker ball mounts are reversible, so you can flip the mount to turn drop into rise or use the 8 adjustment holes to fine-tune coupler height. Heavy bumper-pull trailers are the fussiest about sitting level, so take the time to dial it in.
Built for Maximum Bumper-Pull Loads
Reinforced heavy-wall steel under an impact-resistant safety-red powder coat that stands up to gravel, salt, and weather. It is in stock in Canada and ships direct, so there is no border wait. When the HD air bag eventually needs replacing, it swaps out in minutes using the same simple Schrader-style fitting as the 14K, no press or shop visit. Backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
