How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
20K-Rated Air Spring
An HD air bag built with more rubber plies than the 14K version. It carries up to 20,000 lbs of trailer while cushioning the road shock that would otherwise hammer your truck and your cargo.
Adjustable for Heavy Loads
A heavy bumper-pull trailer can swing more than 1,000 lbs between empty and loaded. Pump in air for a full run, bleed it off for the deadhead home. The HD bag works across a wider pressure range than the 14K, so it keeps up with big weight swings.
Reinforced 8-Hole Chassis
Same outside geometry as the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still fits, but with thicker-wall steel and reinforced welds rated to handle the full 20K load.
Rocker-Arm Pivot
Shocker's down-and-back motion runs on a single pivot with no slides, rollers, or stacked air bags, even at HD loads. Fewer parts working under that much stress means it lasts longer.

Most Shocker ball mounts are reversible, so you can flip the mount to turn drop into rise, or use the 8 adjustment holes to fine-tune your coupler height. Heavy bumper-pull trailers care a lot about sitting level. Get the drop wrong and you overload the front or rear axle of the trailer, so take the time to dial it in.
