How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
20K-Rated Air Spring
The HD air bag runs more plies of rubber than the 14K version, so it carries up to 20,000 lbs of trailer while still soaking up the road shock that would otherwise beat on your truck and your cargo.
Adjust It for the Load
A heavy bumper-pull trailer can swing more than 1,000 lbs between empty and full. Air it up for a max-weight run and let air back out for the deadhead home. The HD airbag has a wider usable pressure range than the 14K.
Reinforced 8-Hole Chassis
It keeps the same outside geometry as the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still fits, but the walls are thicker steel and the welds are reinforced for 20K loadings.
Rocker-Arm Pivot
Shocker's down-and-back motion runs on a single pivot even at HD loadings. There are no slides, rollers, or stacked airbags to wear out, and fewer moving parts under this kind of stress means it lasts longer.
