How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
20K-Rated Air Spring
This air bag uses more rubber plies than the 14K version, so it carries up to 20,000 lbs of trailer without giving up the cushion that keeps road shock off your truck and cargo.
Adjustable for Heavy Loads
A heavy trailer can swing more than 1,000 lbs between empty and loaded. Pump air in for the max-weight run, bleed it back out on the deadhead home, and the ride stays right either way. The HD airbag gives you a wider usable pressure range than the 14K.
Reinforced 8-Hole Chassis
It keeps the same outside shape as the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still bolts right on, but the walls are thicker and the welds are reinforced to carry the full 20K load.
Rocker-Arm Pivot
Shocker's down-and-back motion runs on one pivot, with no slides, rollers, or stacked airbags, even at these heavy loadings. Fewer parts moving under stress means less to wear out and a longer service life.

Most Shocker ball mounts are reversible, so you can flip the mount to turn that drop into a rise, or work the 8 adjustment holes to fine-tune your coupler height. Heavy bumper-pull trailers are fussy about sitting level. Get the drop wrong and you overload either the front or rear axle of the trailer, so take the time to dial it in.
