Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Haul near the top of your truck's rating and every frost heave, expansion joint, and hard stop drives straight through a solid steel hitch. That jolt hammers your driveline, works the welds on your trailer, and beats up whatever you are carrying, and it turns a long day behind the wheel into a longer one. The Shocker HD Air Hitch is built to soak that up. It is the heavy-duty 20K, red-finish flagship of the Shocker bumper-pull lineup, sized for F-350, RAM 3500, and dual-rear-wheel one-ton trucks (class V/VI) with a 3-inch receiver. This kit ships with a raised ball mount, a 2-inch ball, and sway bar tabs, and it pulls 20,000 lbs of trailer with up to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight on a beefier-wall version of Shocker's signature 8-hole chassis and an upgraded HD-rated airbag. If you run a one-ton at the heaviest legal bumper-pull loads, this is the hitch built for it.

How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
20K-Rated Air Spring
The heart of it is a heavy-duty rubber air bag with more plies than the 14K version. It carries the full 20,000 lbs of trailer and turns road shock into a cushion, so the truck and your cargo stop taking the hits.
Adjustable for Heavy Loads
A heavy trailer can swing 1,000 lbs or more between empty and loaded. Pump in air for a max-weight run, bleed it off when you deadhead home, and the ride stays level either way. The HD bag works across a wider pressure range than the 14K.
Reinforced 8-Hole Chassis
It wears the same 8-hole shape as the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still bolts right on. Underneath it is thicker-wall steel with reinforced welds, built to carry the 20K loads.
Rocker-Arm Pivot
Shocker's down-and-back motion runs on a single pivot. No slides, no rollers, no stacked airbags, even at HD loads. Fewer parts working under that kind of stress means the hitch lasts longer.
Who Buys the HD 20K
Designed for one-ton trucks and the heaviest legal bumper-pull combinations.
- F-350, RAM 3500, and Silverado 3500 owners towing near their max rating
- Livestock haulers pulling 30-plus-foot bumper-pull stock trailers
- Equipment and skid-steer haulers running 16k-plus tilt-deck trailers
- Big enclosed cargo trailers and car haulers up to 20,000 lbs
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks with a 3-inch receiver that need a matched HD hitch
- Anyone whose Original 14K is bottoming out under heavy tongue weight
HD vs. Original: What's Different
Same chassis shape, same attachment lineup. Here is where the HD pulls ahead:
Heavier Airbag
A thicker multi-ply rubber bag rated for the full 20,000 lbs, with a wider pressure range to work in. It takes heavier tongue weight without bottoming out on you.
Beefier Walls + Welds
Thicker steel and a reinforced weld pattern where the stress lives. That is what takes it to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight, up from 1,400 lbs on the Original 14K.
Flippable Drop / Rise Geometry
This kit ships with a 2-inch rise to 2-inch drop ball-mount setup. Most Shocker ball mounts flip over, so you can turn that drop into a rise, and the 8 adjustment holes let you fine-tune coupler height on top of that. A heavy trailer is fussy about riding level. Get the drop wrong and you overload either the front or the rear axle of the trailer, so take a minute and dial it in right.
Built for Maximum Bumper-Pull Loads
It is built from reinforced heavy-wall steel and finished in Shocker's signature safety-red powder coat that shrugs off chips and impacts. It is in stock in Canada and ships direct, so there is no border wait. When the air bag eventually wears, you swap it yourself in minutes using the same simple Schrader-style fitting as the 14K. Backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
