Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Haul near your one-ton's limit and you feel every frost heave and hard stop slam up through the ball, into the truck, and back through the trailer. That pounding is what chews up your driveline, cracks trailer welds, and beats your cargo to death. The Shocker HD Air Hitch is the heavy-duty 20K red-finish flagship of the bumper-pull lineup, built to soak up that shock instead of passing it along. It fits F-350 / RAM 3500 / dual-rear-wheel one-ton trucks (class V/VI receivers) with a 3-inch receiver, and it pulls 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight, the heaviest legal bumper-pull loads you can put behind a one-ton. It does it on a beefier-wall version of Shocker's proven 8-hole chassis with an upgraded HD-rated airbag.
Key Highlights
- Pulls 20,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight, the heaviest bumper-pull load Shocker rates for

- Add or release air to set ride height and load support for whatever you're towing that day

How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
The Airbag That Takes the Hit
A heavy-duty multi-ply rubber air bag with a heavier ply count than the 14K version. It carries up to 20,000 lbs of trailer and still soaks up the road shock before it reaches your truck and cargo.
Set It for Loaded or Empty
A heavy trailer can swing 1,000+ lbs between empty and full, and a stiff hitch punishes you on the light runs. Add air for the max-weight haul, bleed it off for the deadhead home. The HD airbag has a wider usable pressure range than the 14K.
Same Mounts Fit, More Steel Underneath
The outside geometry matches the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount you already own bolts right on. Underneath it's thicker-wall steel with reinforced welds rated for the full 20K loads.
One Simple Pivot
Shocker's down-and-back motion rides on a single pivot, with no slides, rollers, or stacked airbags, even at these HD loads. Fewer moving parts under heavy stress means less to wear out and a longer service life.
Who the HD 20K Is Built For
Built for one-ton trucks and the heaviest legal bumper-pull loads.
- F-350, RAM 3500, and Silverado 3500 owners towing near their max rating
- Livestock haulers pulling 30+ ft bumper-pull stock trailers
- Equipment and skid-steer guys running 16k+ tilt-deck trailers
- Big enclosed cargo trailers and car haulers up to 20,000 lbs
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks with a 3-inch receiver that need a matched HD hitch
- Anyone whose Original 14K bottoms out under heavy tongue weight
HD vs. Original: What Actually Changed
Same chassis silhouette, same attachment ecosystem, with three meaningful upgrades:
Heavier Airbag
A multi-ply rubber bag rated for the full 20K GTW with a wider usable pressure range, so it carries heavier tongue weight without bottoming out.
Beefier Walls + Welds
Thicker steel and a reinforced weld pattern where the stress concentrates. That's what takes it to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight versus 1,400 lbs on the Original 14K.
Flip It for Drop or Rise
This Shocker HD Air Hitch & Raised Ball Mount w/ 2-5/16" Ball ships set up for 2" Rise to 2" Drop. Most Shocker ball mounts flip over, so you can turn that drop into rise, and the 8 adjustment holes let you fine-tune coupler height. Level matters more on a heavy trailer than a light one. Run it nose-high or nose-low and you overload either the front or rear axle of the trailer, so take the time to dial it in.
Built for Maximum Bumper-Pull Loads
Reinforced heavy-wall steel with Shocker's impact-resistant safety-red powder coat, in stock in Canada and shipping direct with no border wait. If the HD air bag ever needs swapping, it's a field job you can do in minutes using the same simple Schrader-style fitting as the 14K. Backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
