How the Shocker HD Air Ride Works
A 20K Air Spring That Cushions the Hit
The HD air bag runs more rubber plies than the 14K version, so it carries up to 20,000 lbs of trailer while still soaking up the road shock before it reaches your truck and cargo.
Air You Adjust for the Load
A heavy bumper-pull trailer can swing 1,000+ lbs between empty and full. Air up for a max-weight run and bleed it off on the deadhead. The HD airbag has a wider usable pressure range than the 14K, so you can tune it either way.
Reinforced 8-Hole Chassis
It shares the same outside geometry as the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still fits, but the walls are thicker and the welds are reinforced to carry the 20K loadings.
One Simple Rocker-Arm Pivot

Most Shocker ball mounts are reversible, so you can flip the mount to turn drop into rise, or use the 8 adjustment holes to fine-tune coupler height. Heavy bumper-pull trailers are picky about sitting level. Get the drop wrong and you overload either the front or rear axle of the trailer, so take the time to dial it in.
