The Air Bag Does the Work
A 20K-rated air bag sits between the coupler and the trailer A-frame. It catches road shock and eats it before it can travel into your trailer frame, your cargo, and your tow vehicle.
Tune It to Your Load
Add or bleed off air to match how the trailer is loaded that day. Riding heavy? Put more air in. Light or empty? Let some out. You set the pressure that rides right, every trip.
Simple Rocker Arm, Not a Machine

Two Ways to Mount It
Pick the version that matches how your trailer A-frame is built:
Vertical Channel Mount (SH-HD4000 series)
Slots into a 3-1/2-inch wide vertical channel with a 2-inch center-on-center bolt pattern. Lock it in with 5/8-inch pins or bolts (4-1/2 inches long is the recommended length). This is the one you will see most on fabricated trailer A-frames.
Square Plate Mount, 4-Bolt (SH-HD4500 series)
A 4-1/2-inch square bolt pattern that bolts straight onto a flat plate on the trailer tongue. Four bolts and you are done. Common on factory-built dump and equipment trailers.
Bring Your Own Coupler, or Buy It Bundled
Order the HD 25K as a bare base frame or with the coupler already installed. That 3-inch front channel takes any vertical-channel-mount ball coupler or pintle ring rated up to 25,000 lbs. Good pairings to know: the Demco EZ-Latch (DEM-14040-81) at 21K, the Wallace Forge auto-locking coupler at 20K or 25K, or the Shocker SH-P20000-B pintle ring at 20K. One thing to keep straight: your whole setup is only as strong as its weakest link, so match the coupler to your trailer GTW.
