Auto Locking 2-5/16″ Trailer Ball Coupler
Features a heavy-duty 3 bolt Wallace forge auto locking coupler for a 2-5/16″ ball hitch. (bolts included for coupler)
25,000 lbs GTW & 2,500 lbs Tongue Weight
Plenty of capacity for towing. Great for heavy duty equipment trailers, race car stacker trailers and more.
Bolt-on Air Ride
Bolt-on to vertical channel on your truck. Shocker Air is designed with a built-in air ride system for a smoother towing experience. Improves your ride, and reduces wear & tear on pickup & trailer.
Simple Pivot Design
uses a rocker arm pivot design which produces a down and back motion, much different than other air ride products on the market.
Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
You feel it every time the road turns rough. A heavy trailer chucks and jerks against the truck, and every frost heave and hard stop hammers the trailer frame, the cargo, and your hitch. The Shocker Heavy Duty 25K Air Tongue Mount takes that hit before it reaches you. It bolts straight to your trailer A-frame and puts the air ride on the trailer instead of the truck, so any tow vehicle that hooks up rides smoother. Rated up to 25,000 lbs GTW with 3,500 lbs of tongue weight, it is our flagship trailer-side air hitch. Get it as a bare base frame or with a coupler already installed. The built-in 3-inch front channel takes a vertical-channel coupler or a pintle ring.

How It Works
Air Does the Cushioning
A built-in 20K-rated air bag sits between the coupler and the trailer A-frame. It soaks up road shock before it can reach your trailer frame, your cargo, or your tow vehicle.
Dial It In for Any Load
Add or bleed air to match your trailer weight. Loaded heavy, add air. Running light or empty, let some out. You set the pressure that rides right every trip.
Simple Rocker Arm Pivot
The coupler pivots down and back on a rocker arm, with no slides, rollers, or parallel linkages. Fewer moving parts means less to maintain and a longer life.
Clears Steep Approaches
The air ride mounts above the trailer tongue, so you keep full ground clearance for steep approaches, off-road equipment trailers, and tilt-deck haulers.
Built For Heavy Trailers Like These
The 25K rating makes this the heaviest tongue-mount tier we build, aimed at serious commercial and recreational haulers:
- End dump trailers and heavy equipment trailers
- Race car haulers and stacker trailers
- Skid steer and tilt-deck equipment trailers
- HD flatbed trailers and lowboys (within rating)
- Large enclosed cargo and tool trailers
- Any A-frame trailer up to 25,000 lbs GTW with up to 3,500 lbs tongue weight
Two Ways It Bolts On
Pick the version that matches how your trailer A-frame is built:
Vertical Channel Mount (SH-HD4000 series)
Fits a 3-1/2-inch wide vertical channel with a 2-inch center-on-center bolt pattern. Pin or bolt it in with 5/8-inch hardware (4-1/2 inches long recommended). This is the common setup on fabricated trailer A-frames.
Square Plate Mount, 4-Bolt (SH-HD4500 series)
Uses a 4-1/2-inch square bolt pattern and bolts straight to a flat plate on the trailer tongue. Four bolts and you are done. You see this a lot on factory-built dump and equipment trailers.
Bring Your Own Coupler, or Buy It Bundled
Buy the HD 25K as a bare base frame or with a coupler already installed. The 3-inch front channel takes any vertical-channel-mount ball coupler or pintle ring rated up to 25,000 lbs. Good pairings include the Demco EZ-Latch (DEM-14040-81) at 21K, the Wallace Forge auto-locking coupler at 20K or 25K, or the Shocker SH-P20000-B pintle ring at 20K. One thing to remember: your total tow rating is only as high as the weakest link in the chain, so match your coupler to your trailer GTW.
Why Put the Air Ride on the Trailer?
Put the air ride on the trailer instead of the truck and every vehicle that hooks up gets the smoother tow automatically, no extra parts, no swapping hitches. That pays off most when the trailer stays constant and the truck changes: fleet trailers run by different drivers, rental trailers, equipment trailers passed between operators, and any commercial setup where the trailer is the one thing that never changes. The HD 25K is the heaviest tongue mount we make, built for end-dump operators, race haulers, equipment fleets, and anyone whose trailer matters more than which truck is pulling it. Backed by the Shocker Hitch 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
