Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Heavy trailer behind a stiff-sprung truck, and every frost heave and hard stop jerks straight through the hookup. That shock beats up your cargo, your trailer frame, and your truck a little more with each mile. The Shocker Heavy Duty 25K Air Tongue Mount fixes it right at the source. It bolts straight to your trailer A-frame and puts the air ride on the trailer instead of the truck, so any tow vehicle that hooks up gets a smoother tow. Rated up to 21,000 lbs GTW with 2,100 lbs of tongue weight, so there's real breathing room when the load rides heavy up front. Sold as a bare base frame or with a coupler already installed, and the built-in 3-inch front channel takes a vertical-channel coupler or a pintle ring.

How It Works
The Air Bag Does the Work
A 20K-rated air bag sits between the coupler and your trailer A-frame and eats the road shock before it ever reaches your frame, your cargo, or the truck up front. The jolt gets absorbed instead of passed straight down the line.
Tune It to the Load
Add air when the trailer runs heavy, let some out when it's light or empty. A few seconds with a pump dials the ride in for whatever you're hauling that day, so it never rides too stiff or too soft.
Simple Rocker Arm Pivot
The coupler swings down and back on a single rocker arm, with no slides, rollers, or parallel linkages to seize up or wear out. Fewer moving parts means less to maintain and a longer working life.
Nothing Hanging Low
The air ride sits up above the trailer tongue instead of dropping below it, so you keep full ground clearance for steep approaches, off-road equipment trailers, and tilt-deck haulers.
Built For Heavy Trailers
This is the heaviest tongue-mount tier we make, sized for serious commercial and recreational hauling:
- End dump and heavy equipment trailers
- Race car haulers and stacker trailers
- Skid steer and tilt-deck equipment trailers
- HD flatbeds and lowboys, within rating
- Big enclosed cargo and tool trailers
- Any A-frame trailer up to 21,000 lbs GTW with up to 2,100 lbs tongue weight
Two Ways It Mounts
Pick the version that matches how your trailer A-frame is built:
Vertical Channel Mount (SH-HD4000 series)
Fits a 3-1/2-inch wide vertical channel with a 2-inch center-on-center bolt pattern. You lock it in with 5/8-inch pins or bolts, 4-1/2 inches long recommended. This is the usual setup on fabricated trailer A-frames.
Square Plate Mount, 4-Bolt (SH-HD4500 series)
A 4-1/2-inch square bolt pattern that fastens straight to a flat plate on the trailer tongue. Four bolts and you're done. You'll see this one on a lot of factory-built dump and equipment trailers.
Bring Your Own Coupler, or Buy It Bundled
The HD 25K comes as a bare base frame or with a coupler already installed. The 3-inch front channel takes any vertical-channel-mount ball coupler or pintle ring rated up to 25,000 lbs. If you'd rather have it matched for you, the recommended bundles are the Demco EZ-Latch (DEM-14040-81) at 21K, the Wallace Forge auto-locking coupler at 20K or 25K, or the Shocker SH-P20000-B pintle ring at 20K. One thing to keep in mind: your total tow rating is only as high as the lowest-rated part in the chain, so match your coupler to your trailer GTW.
Why Put the Air Ride on the Trailer?
Put the air ride on the trailer instead of the truck and every tow vehicle that hooks up gets the smoother tow automatically, with nothing to install truck-side. That matters most for fleet trailers pulled by different drivers, rental trailers, equipment trailers passed between operators, and any commercial setup where the trailer is the one thing that stays constant. The HD 25K is the heaviest tongue mount we make, built for end-dump operators, race haulers, equipment fleets, and anyone whose trailer matters more than which truck happens to be pulling it. Backed by the Shocker Hitch 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
