Smoother safer towing. Improves your
ride, reduces wear & tear on pickup & trailer
Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Load a heavy trailer near your truck's max and every frost heave and hard stop slams straight through the ball, into your one-ton's frame, and back into whatever you're hauling. Your teeth rattle, the trailer chucks, and both rigs take a beating mile after mile. The Shocker HD Air Hitch is the heavy-duty 20K red flagship of the Shocker bumper-pull lineup, built to soak all of that up. Sized for F-350, RAM 3500, and dual-rear-wheel one-ton trucks (class V/VI receivers) running a 3-inch receiver, this Shocker HD Air Hitch Base Frame Complete w/ Pins (No Ball Mount) carries 20,000 lbs of trailer weight and up to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight on a beefier-wall version of Shocker's proven 8-hole chassis with an upgraded HD-rated airbag. If you pull the heaviest legal bumper-pull loads a one-ton can handle, this is the hitch that keeps them smooth.

How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
Air Spring Rated to the Full 20K
This HD air bag uses more rubber plies than the 14K version, so it holds up under as much as 20,000 lbs of trailer while still softening the road before it reaches your truck and cargo.
Set It for Loaded or Empty
A heavy trailer can swing 1,000 lbs or more between empty and full. Pump in air for the max-weight run, bleed it back off on the deadhead home. The HD airbag has a wider usable pressure range than the 14K, so it covers both ends of that swing.
Reinforced 8-Hole Chassis
The outside shape matches the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still bolts right on, but the steel is thicker and the welds are reinforced to carry the full 20K loadings.
One Simple Pivot
Shocker's down-and-back motion runs on a single rocker-arm pivot, with no slides, rollers, or stacked airbags even at HD loadings. Fewer moving parts under heavy stress means less to wear out and a longer service life.
Who Buys the HD 20K
Built for one-ton trucks and the heaviest legal bumper-pull combinations you can run.
- F-350, RAM 3500, and Silverado 3500 owners towing near their max trailer rating
- Livestock haulers pulling 30+ ft gooseneck-equivalent bumper-pull stock trailers
- Equipment and skid-steer haulers running 16k+ tilt-deck trailers
- Big enclosed cargo trailers and car haulers up to 20,000 lbs
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks with a 3-inch receiver that need a matched HD hitch
- Anyone whose Original 14K is bottoming out under heavy tongue weight
HD vs. Original: What's Different
The chassis silhouette is the same and the whole attachment lineup still fits. Three upgrades set the HD apart under heavy loads:
Heavier Airbag
A multi-ply rubber bag rated for the full 20K GTW, with a wider usable pressure range so it takes heavier tongue weight without bottoming out.
Beefier Walls and Welds
Thicker steel and a reinforced weld pattern where the stress concentrates. That's what takes it to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight versus 1,400 lbs on the Original 14K.
Flip It to Set Drop or Rise
This Shocker HD Air Hitch Base Frame Complete w/ Pins (No Ball Mount) is set up for an 8 Adjustment Holes ball-mount configuration. Most Shocker ball mounts are reversible, so you can flip the mount to turn a drop into a rise, or work through the 8 adjustment holes to fine-tune your coupler height. Heavy bumper-pull trailers are picky about sitting level. Get the drop wrong and you overload either the front or rear axle of the trailer, so take the time to dial it in carefully.
Built for Maximum Bumper-Pull Loads
Heavy-wall reinforced steel, wearing Shocker's signature impact-resistant safety-red powder coat, in stock and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait. When the HD air bag eventually needs replacing, it swaps out in minutes using the same simple Schrader-style fitting as the 14K, so you're never sidelined for long. It's all backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
