Smoother safer towing. Improves your
ride, reduces wear & tear on pickup & trailer
Stop destroying your trailer and cargo.
Every bump, pothole, and expansion joint sends a violent jolt through your trailer frame, damaging cargo and wearing out your truck. Shocker Air Ride Hitches absorb that punishment at the coupling, before it reaches your trailer.
Pull the heaviest legal bumper-pull load behind a one-ton and you feel every frost heave, every expansion joint, and every hard stop slam straight through the truck, through the trailer, and into whatever you are hauling. That chucking and jarring is what wears out driveline, welds, and cargo before their time. The Shocker HD Air Hitch is the 20K red flagship of the Shocker bumper-pull line, built to soak up that shock. It fits F-250 and RAM 2500-class three-quarter-ton trucks (class V receivers) with a 2-1/2-inch receiver, hauls up to 20,000 lbs GTW and 2,000 lbs of tongue weight, and does it on a beefier-wall version of Shocker's proven 8-hole chassis with an upgraded HD-rated airbag. It is the hitch for one-ton trucks pulling the heaviest bumper-pull trailers the law allows.
Key Highlights
- Hauls up to 20,000 lbs GTW and 2,000 lbs of tongue weight, the heaviest bumper-pull rating Shocker builds

- More steel in the chassis walls than the Original 14K on the same footprint, so it takes the punishment of max loads
- Comes in 2-1/2-inch receivers, including the 3-inch option one-ton dual-wheel trucks need
- Air pressure you set by the load, so ride height and support match whatever you tow that day
- 8 adjustment holes to get the trailer sitting level and the axles evenly loaded
- Iconic safety-red powder coat that shrugs off rock chips and keeps its finish
- Backed by our 60-day satisfaction guarantee

How Shocker HD Air Ride Works
The 20K Air Spring Does the Work
It is a heavy-duty multi-ply rubber air bag with more plies than the 14K version, so it carries up to 20,000 lbs of trailer and still soaks up the road shock that would otherwise hammer your truck and your cargo.
Set It for the Load You Are Pulling
A heavy bumper-pull trailer can swing more than 1,000 lbs between loaded and empty. Air up for the max-weight haul, bleed it down for the deadhead home. The HD airbag works across a wider pressure range than the 14K, so one hitch covers both.
Same Chassis Shape, Heavier Steel
It keeps the exact outside geometry of the Original line, so every Shocker ball mount still fits, and the wall steel is thicker with reinforced welds rated for the full 20K.
A Single Pivot, Even Under HD Loads
Shocker's down-and-back motion rides on one pivot, with no slides, rollers, or stacked airbags, even at HD weights. Fewer parts working under that kind of stress means less to wear out and a longer service life.
Who Reaches for the HD 20K
Built for one-ton trucks and the heaviest legal bumper-pull combinations.
- F-350, RAM 3500, and Silverado 3500 owners towing near their max trailer rating
- Heavy livestock haulers running 30+ ft gooseneck-equivalent bumper-pull stock trailers
- Equipment and skid-steer crews running 16k+ tilt-deck trailers
- Big enclosed cargo trailers and car haulers up to 20,000 lbs
- Dual-rear-wheel trucks with a 3-inch receiver that need a matched HD hitch
- Anyone whose Original 14K is bottoming out under heavy tongue weight
HD vs. Original, What Actually Changes
Same chassis silhouette, same attachment lineup, with three real upgrades:
A Heavier Airbag
The multi-ply rubber bag is rated for the full 20K GTW and works across a wider usable pressure range, so it carries heavier tongue weight without bottoming out on you.
Thicker Walls and Welds
Heavier steel and a reinforced weld pattern where the stress concentrates. That takes it to 2,000 lbs of tongue weight, up from 1,400 lbs on the Original 14K.
Flip It for Drop or Rise
This base frame ships with a 8 Adjustment Holes ball-mount configuration. Most Shocker ball mounts are reversible, so you can flip the mount to turn drop into rise, or work through the 8 adjustment holes to fine-tune coupler height. A heavy bumper-pull trailer really cares about sitting level. Get the drop wrong and you overload either the front or rear axle of the trailer, so take the time to dial it in.
Built to Take the Heaviest Loads
Reinforced heavy-wall steel under Shocker's signature impact-resistant safety-red powder coat, in stock and shipping direct from Canada with no border wait. If the HD-rated air bag ever needs changing, it comes out and goes back in within minutes using the same simple Schrader-style fitting as the 14K. Backed by Shocker Hitch's 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
